MAIN BODY
Experimental Rationale
The reason behind conducting this assessment is because of the importance of scientific
reporting skills which prove to be very important for the individuals at the time of conducting the
research such as in the case when the research is conducted on Psychology or some Scientific
topic. The another reason of importance of this assessment is because the importance will be
drawn in order to help the learners to know about the importance of these skills and it will help
in understanding the researcher to be clarified with the research topic with which they are
provided with. So due to the following reason, the importance of this topic and the skills
increases at the time of conducting research related to scientific topic or any other related topic.
Literature Review
According to Katharine E Hubbard and Sonja Dunbar, (2017), the scientific reporting skills
are of great importance for the growth and development of the effectiveness in the research and
the way of completing the research. It not only impacts upon the skills but also impacts upon the
way of performing the tasks. With the help of these skills, it will be possible for an individual to
have proper knowledge and clear understanding about the task and the topic on which the
individual is working upon. So with the help of clear understanding and the aim for which the
researcher is working, it will be easy for him to achieve the goals and objectives of the research.
Along with these skills, there are also some other important skills which an individual need to
focus on as these skills are also important for the successful completion of the research as well as
to make the research able to create some sense to the reader. The skills such as the
communication skills and interpersonal skills which also plays an important role for an
2

individual at the time of making the completion of the research. So with the help of these skills
along with the scientific reporting skills, it will be possible for the researcher to make the
research accomplishment in the most effective way.
According to Vijay K Sharma, (2017), communication skill can be defined as the skills
with the help of which an individual makes his interaction with the other people in order to
transfer or get some data or information in the same way in which he wants to transfer him or the
other individual wants to provide to him. So the importance of this skills is because of lack of
knowledge. In other words, it can be said that human being is not perfect in everything, there are
some areas in which he is weak or is not able to perform well and in these cases it is important
for the individual to take the help of other people in order to get the resolution of the problems
faced by him in order to make the completion of the assignment to be successful. It is also
important for the individual to transfer the information to another information in the right way
and also in the right sense so that it could become possible for him to get the right answer or
solution for which the individual is searching the solution.
Additionally, the importance of interpersonal skills is also very important at the time of
conducting the research for the researcher. It is because with the help of this skill, it will be
possible for the individual to interact good with other people so that they could provide him with
the right and reliable information that could help in the improvement in the quality of the
research that has been conducted. So the importance of interpersonal skills also increases in the
research. It is not only importance in case of Psychology or Scientific Research but in all kinds
of research. Due to this, the importance of scientific reporting, communication skills and
interpersonal skills increases at the time of carrying out the research and is important in order to
make the effective completion of the tasks with which an individual is provided with.

Critical Review of Literature
From the above points presented in the literature review, it can be said that the three skills
play an important role in the completion of a research. With the help of these skills, it will be
possible to make the successful completion of the tasks of the research in an efficient and
effective way. In addition to this, with the help of these skills, it will be possible to make the
personal as well as professional development of an individual. Moreover, it will also help in the
increase in the skills and knowledge of the individuals working on the research topic or project to
get the needed information. It will also help in analysing the information whether they are
necessary or not for the completion of the project. Overall, it can be said that these skills provide
the researcher with the direction to move the research to make it more effective and reliable to
use for the researcher and the readers as well.
ASSESSMENT 2
TITLE
To identify the influence of stimuli on learning at the time of performing task.
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1 Overview of the Research
Psychology can be defined as the process with the help of which an individual understands
the state of mind of other people. It helps an individual to know about the mental, physical and
mental condition of the other individuals. The following research will make its focus on the
impact of stimuli on the learning process of an individual. Learning is the process with the help
of which the individual understands and learns many things from the surrounding environment or
from any other way. There is not only a single way of learning but there are different ways with

the help of which learning can be done. It will make its focus on the concept of stimuli and the
learning process of an individual. The impact of stimuli on the learning process and the
distraction caused by the stimuli on the work performance of an individual will also be
discussed.
1.2 Aim of the Research
To identify the influence of stimuli on learning at the time of performing task.
1.3 Objectives of the Research
To understand the concept of learning.
To determine the influence of stimuli in distracting individuals from successful completion of
task.
To ascertain the relationship in between stimuli and distraction.
1.4 Research Questions
Do you know about the concept of learning?
What is the influence of stimuli in distracting individuals from successful completion of task?
Do you know about the relationship in between stimuli and distraction?
1.5 Rationale of the Research
The reason behind doing the study of this topic is related to the make improvement in the
learning process of individuals so that the process of learning of the individuals could be
improved too much extent (Forrester and Sullivan, 2018). In addition to this, the another reason
that makes the topic more important is related to creating an understanding in between the
stimuli and the learning process and distraction. This will help the readers to differentiate both of
these two terms explained above and have the knowledge about them that will help the people to

increase the effectiveness of the work they are performing and to make the completion of the
work in a successful way.
CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1 Concept of Learning
According to Jeff Cobb, (2019), Learning is defined as the process which continues till
lifelong and focuses on the transformation of information and experiences in order to make an
increment in the skills knowledge and perceptions of an individual. With the help of learning, an
individual comes across many types of experiences which he never came across. Learning is not
the concept which can only be covered and is not dependent on the classes and courses taken by
an individual but it is the concept which needs the concentration of an individual at the time of
performing a task. However, the classes and courses are also important tools that helps to a
person in increasing his knowledge but without self-practice and concentration it is not possible
to learn something new from what an individual had learnt from the books or courses. With the
help of practical learning, it will be possible for the individual to make improvement in their
learning processes and with the increased interaction with the surrounding environment. In his
experiences of life, an individual interacts with many kind of people which have different
natures, qualities and many attributes with the help of which knowledge is gained and applied in
the real life context as well which helps in the increment in the knowledge of an individual.
2.2 The influence of stimuli in distracting individuals from successful completion of task
According to Marcelo Bigliassi, Costas I. Karageorghis, Alexander V. Nowicky,
Michael J. Wright, Guido Orgs, (2017), stimuli is directly related and concerned with excitement
which an occurs with an individual at the time of performing a task. It is the state of mind in
6
Document Page
which the human brain of an individual partially suppresses the dispensation of potential
distractors in order that the easy tasks could be completed in a successful way. But the
excitement which an individual have at the time of performing major tasks or medium tasks in
that case the stimuli impacts upon the human behavior such as the excitement to do or the fear of
doing something wrong impacts negatively on the work performance of an individual related to
any task. So it becomes important for the individual not to lose their concentration at the time of
completing any work and should be done with cool mind and in an easy way in order to get the
accomplishment of the work in a positive way. With the help of good working and concentration
of the individual, it will be possible for them to increase their knowledge and make the
development of their skills and knowledge as well. So, stimuli in other words, excitement
impacts negatively on the work performance and distracts the person from making the efficient
and effective completion of the task they are provided with (Coolican, 2017). The electrical
activity which occurs in the mind impacts upon the mental situation on the work performance of
an individual. This is the main reason of distraction of an individual from the successful
completion of the work by an individual. So it is also important for the individuals to have clear
understanding about the influence which is created by stimuli on the mindset of the individuals.
2.3 The relationship in between stimuli and distraction
According to C. Moret-Tatay, A. Lami, C. R. Oliveira, M. J. Beneyto-Arrojo, (2018), the
emotions which are present in the minds of an individual are considered as the most common
reason which becomes the main reason of distraction of the individuals working on a specific
task. The main difference in between the stimuli and distraction is about the concentration. In
both the situations in which an individual tries to perform a task, concentration lacks. Due to lack
of concentration of an individual the performance of tasks are impacted negatively. So it is said

that there is a positive relation in between distraction and stimuli because of the concentration
factors. Both the situations impacts negatively upon the work performance of an individual. Not
only this, but these two factors also impacts upon the accuracy and reliability of the research on
which the individual is working upon. There are also some other reasons which can be the main
factors that impacts negatively on the work performance of an individual such as the changes
made in the tasks which becomes the main reason of distraction for the individual. It makes
important for an individual that not to lose concentration on the work and the focus should be
made on one task only at a single time. In case of performing more tasks at single time, it will
not be possible to make the successful completion of the work. Hence, due to an important role
played by the concentration, it creates a positive relation in between the stimuli and distraction
that is caused to an individual at the time of performing a task.
CHAPTER 3: METHODS
Research Methods can be defined as the tools and techniques which are been used by the
researcher in making the completion of the provided research project. It becomes important for
the researcher to make use of these tools and techniques as with the help of these tools and
techniques, it will be possible for the researcher to get help in collecting, analyzing and
interpreting the data presented in the research project. With the help of proper application of
these tools and techniques, it will be possible for the researcher to have proper results and will be
able to make the research able to be used for the future purposes as well (Willig and Rogers,
2017). There are different tools and techniques which are used for the completion of this research
provided as under:

The first figure presented is related to the proportion of the list of the words in the recalled
condition of an individual and the emotion distractive condition of an individual. On the other
hand, the second figure shows about the mean proportion of the list words which are recognised
in the control condition of an individual indifferent from that of the condition of another
individual.

Discussion
As speculated, our outcomes demonstrated that the DRM delivered a FM impact, as members
erroneously recollected bait words in both the review and acknowledgment assignments. This
was steady with the collection of writing showing that DRM records produce a strong FM impact
for the basic draw words.
The findings also say that the individual should makes its focus on concentration rather
than the distraction or stimuli in order to have the positive results from the work done by an
individual. In addition to this, it has also been founded that there is a positive relation in between
the distraction and stimuli which impacts upon the working behaviour and the performance of
the individuals. In addition to this, with the help of learning it will be possible for the person to
make an increment in the work performance as well as the effectiveness of the work done by an
individual. However, it is also important for them to not only focus on the theoretical things but
are also said to make their focus on the practical implementation of the work or the learning on
which they are working. This will help them in getting positive outcomes from the work they are
performing as well as will make improvement in their skills and efficiencies.
