Ans 1- The emergency situation arises with regard to outbreak of communicable diseases in
which two nurseries who are presented nearly to each other reported a sudden onset of
diarrhoea and vomiting like symptoms among few children's most of the age of 3-4 years. In
order to handle such crucial task, the team members of physician, interns, specialists,
registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, dietitians and social workers
have been allotted and creation of rapid response team have been done in order to resolve the
issue of sudden break of communicable disease among children's (Johnson and et.al., 2017).
Hence, in order to handle the situation, diversified professionals are greatly required
specifically at the time of emergency situations so that each member will able to effectively
perform their own tasks.
Ans 2- I do act and fulfil my role as an intern within the team that has been generated in
order to handle such crucial issue within the society. As I am pursuing my course related to
public health diploma hence, I have fully engaged into providing further training after my
graduation from medical school. Thus, I contribute my part as per the instructions provided
to me from my seniors or specialists during the program. I did attend all the children's under
the supervision of physicians and doctors. As an intern I do feel that I properly able to
generate my level of knowledge by observation of activities happen at that specific point of
time. I am appropriately able to handle such critical situations in efficient manner after this
particular incident. However, there are certain things in which I was lack behind such as
sometime due to lack of experience, I was misdiagnosed the situation and started panicking
somehow during that specific point of time duration (Connolly, Jacobs and Scott, 2018).
Thus, I have make sure that from next time onwards, I will adopt certain actions such as
always asks questions in order to avoid doubtful situations, always ask patient or their family

members about the whole situation and implement new technologies in order to deal with
emergency conditions which will definitely help me to overcome from my misdiagnose issue.
From the detailed evaluation about my team I had realized and evaluated that working in
collaborative manner and highly calm way irrespective of the situation was the major strength of our
team while at the time of taking appropriate decisions, somehow I felt that the team members
opinions clashed with each other (Veenema, 2018). Apart from this, I have realized that
communication skill had been enhanced among the team members in order to transfer detailed and
appropriate information among each other.

Ans: I want to share my experience as a health protection team member. I participated in role play
where I asked some questions from target people regarding ways of protecting themselves against
communicable disease. Most of them did not give specific and accurate answer. So, I made them
aware about this and told them that by wearing masks, washing hands and by maintaining hygiene,
they can protect themselves against infectious disease. It improved my communication skill and
boosted my confidence. I believe that I can accomplish my professional goals in an effective manner
with this improved communication skill (Hawker and et.al., 2018). I asked some more questions
regarding ways of protecting in emergency situation and most of them gave answer that they will
provide first aid to affected people and will call ambulance. So, on the basis of this, I can say that
people need proper training by which they can protect themselves against communicable and other
diseases.
In addition, I can say that role play made me able in dealing with people of different
behaviours and it increased my patience level. My superior helped me out in improving all these
skills and made me aware about importance of being calm in difficult situations. Target people gave
feedbacks to my superiors about my positive behaviour. Overall, I can say that this role play as a
health protection team increased my knowledge to the great extent.
