a. Answer – The social gradient in the health sector is known as the inequalities in health
status of the population, the relation with the social status. The primary determinants of the
health would be including the socio-economic and the indicator of demographic. Mental
health is considered to be integral to the human health and the well-being of human. Social
aspects measures the social profanity based on the health status. With respect to mental
health, the social stigma is classified as the part of maintaining the position of that person in
the society. Health, especially mental health being the primary gradient of social welfare, it is
to be maintained. With higher level of stress, it is to be estimated at there would be lower
control in their social affairs. Therefore, social gradient in essence to mental health would be
chosen as a prime factor where people have the bare minimum control over their social
representation. (Marmo and Bell 2016).
b. Answer – The mechanism that would possibly explaining the health inequality could be the
subjected to the degradation of mental illness in the country. The models could be entering
the framework, explaining the neo-material and psychological approaches. It states that
people with mental health issues would be places lower in the social status, due to their
uncontrollable reach towards social behaviour and presentation. It would be irrespective of
the fact that the people with mental health illness would be unaware of their behaviours,
despite not bothering to the social agenda of maintaining the bare minimum possibility of
proper behaviour, if they belong rural communities. Therefore, the psychological and neo-
material hypothesis states that people with mental illness would be placed at the lower belt of
the social gradient.

authorities would be spending a total estimated price of $737 million for accessing people
with mental illness.
By getting more acknowledgement from the government itself, people would be more
