Dear Jennifer,
My name is Mauli Patel, a final year student at Australia Catholic University, Master of Public Health
(MPH) and was pleased to learn about placement in your organisation. I'm very motivated in ensuring
that services delivered to customers are to their satisfaction. In addition to my bachelor of
physiotherapy and previous work experience, I have work and interacted majorly with the disable
individuals and thus would welcome any opportunity to contribute towards their understanding and
satisfaction.
Previously, I have acquired clinical skills in working with other health professionals for the betterment of
the patients, which is a significant factor in this project. I have also been able to understand more about
patient and family education and to conduct exercise groups which will be essential skills during the
survey. Moreover, I have gained some skills during my MPH studies which will be of great importance
and am looking forward to putting them into practice. These skills include the assessment of the
community needs, evaluating determinants of health and applying the findings to the formulation of
strategies for public health. Besides, I am in a vivid position to work with an interdisciplinary team and
the ability to analyse, appraise and process evidence of public health research to inform the decision of
public health.
I decided to pursue a Masters in Public Health since I have a great passion for working with the
community and improving the general health of a community. It is a great honour for me to serve a
community and more so in matters pertaining to health. I crave to see a healthy community where every
member has better and improved access to adequate healthcare. Therefore, I believe in getting to
understand the clients needs so as to address them in a better and customized manner which leads to
better satisfaction.
