INTRODUCTION
Government of nation continuously works for improving the health of population. Public
wellbeing system organizes camps in order to make people aware about consequences of ill
health so that they can prevent themselves from various diseases. Present study will discuss the
role of care organizations in health and social care system. Furthermore, it will illustrate the
epidemiology of HIV by using statistical records. In addition, assignment will explain the
effectiveness of different approaches to control incidence of infectious disease.
MAIN BODY
1.1 Role of WHO, department of English government and local organization in health and social
care
World health organization (WHO)
World Health organization (WHO) is international agency that continuously works for
the betterment of people globally (Stewart and Wild, 2017). It plays the role of leaders in global
health system. It coordinates with national and local agencies in order to improve the well-being
of population. It makes standards and ensures that each hospital follow these regulation and
provide quality care services to the patients. WHO shapes research agenda and finds out the
overall case of ill health people. It researches about disease and its consequences with making
health policies so that individuals can get quality care services in health and social care
organization. It continuously tracks health trends across the world and support in increasing
mortality rates in underdeveloped countries (Betancourt and et.al, 2016). WHO is a specialized
agency that works to eradicate the diseases worldwide.
Department of health of British government
It is another type of care firm that is responsible for making several policies in health
care system in England. NHS, England looks at the existing condition of public health and
accordingly, make changes in the system so that well-being of persons can be improved soon. It
contributes in budgeting, planning, improving day to day operations in hospitals, etc. NHS
commission observed activities of department of English government and they suggest the ways
so that these entities can perform their work effectively (Brett and et.al., 2014). The main agenda
of NHS England is to implement effective health schemes in country so that population can
improve their health conditions.

Local authorities
There are many local agencies which are working for improving health care condition of
the population. These agencies are responsible for implementing effective care policies and
provide support to hospitals or care homes so that medical professionals can offer quality care
services to the people in country (Blais and et.al, 2015). They organize promotional campaigns
and also allot funds to the local hospitals so that they can improve their operational efficiency
and implement the latest technologies at workplace.
1.2 Explaining the epidemiology of HIV/AIDS by using statistical data
Epidemiology can be defined as the study of patterns that helps in identifying incidence
of disease. It describe all causes and factors that increase the chances of occurring particular
disease in country. From the statistical records of 2012, it has been found that there were approx.
98400 people who have been diagnosed with HIV. It is the serious acquired immunodeficiency
syndrome which is caused by HIV infection (Duckett and Willcox, 2015). There are more than
22% people in the UK who are unaware with causes, symptoms and prevention of AIDS. In the
year 2011, there were 7000 new HIV cases reported which were too high as compared to
previous year. Furthermore, till the end of 2014, this ratio has reached to 110000. Number of
death due to this illness was high in this year. In the year 1983, rate of AIDS patients was very
low but till end of 2010, it has reached to 7000. HIV is a serious disease that transmitted from
one person to another frequently through injection, etc.
Death rate due to AIDS has been increased at a rapid speed. In the year 2004, 2005 there
were 2 million people those who have got died globally (HIV / AIDS, 2018). But, till the end of
2015, medical professionals have worked on this illness and started providing quality care to
these HIV patients. After that, 2015 records show that there were 1.1 million people those who
have got died with HIV.

Epidemic management efforts of government of nation and NHS have worked for
minimizing issues of HIV and this effort has given positive results. After that, number of patients
who are suffering from HIV have been decreased (Blais and et.al, 2015).
1.3 Effectiveness of different approaches to control incidence of infectious disease
There are various strategies and approaches that have been implemented by NHS in order
to have control over HIV/ AIDS. NHS has organized various programs and schemes in order to
make people aware with the causes of HIV. Apart from this, screening controlling method has
been implemented by the concerned authorities. It is the type of method in which medical
professionals use prior medical testing procedure. By this way, they get to know about medical
illness in the early age. This supported in giving them treatment at the right time so that
consequences can be minimized soon (Stewart and Wild, 2017).
