Project Title:
Implementation of the Public Health Informatics System.
Background and Current Practice
Major disease outbreaks are a problem for the CHD or County Health Department. It requires advanced
technologies to respond to the outbreaks rapidly and also in a timely manner. Presently, all other
community health facilities programs of CHD are assigned with the advanced technology of the informatics
system that is able to work in a timely manner with a track of the given work. CHD has a communication
with the state databases system and updating information but environmental databases are not linked with
it for the communication of diseases.
Therefore, for this situation, the solution is determined as the new advanced technology implementation.
The senior manager of the databases has to be updated with the latest and precise information to take a
suitable decision. This project will enable the senior manager to get access to the latest information of the
encountering disease or major outbreak so that they can take an appropriate decision in less time. These
changes in CHD will enhance the capabilities of the staff to react to outbreaks and diseases. Because the
new system will be able to handle the possible outbreaks in future and also will be capable of reporting
about the infectious disease.
Project Aims and Objectives:
Project Aims and Objectives are defined as followed;
 To implement advanced public health informatics systems
 To be able to report about the infectious disease on the time of requirement.
 To be able to report about the future or upcoming outbreaks on time.
 Using information reports, the decision makers and senior manager can be able to work accordingly at
the County Health Department.
 To provide relevant information to stakeholder for the successful completion of the project.
 To implement the newly designed EMR or Electronic Medical report system for the CHD to stay updated
with the medical report in digital format.

The project is such a big project which needs time for the successful implementation of advanced
information technology. Therefore, the time that would be appropriately taken by this project will be:

Project Benefits:
This project will be able to enhance and improve the capabilities of the Public Health Informatics system
which is currently in used by the Count Health Department. The present system is not updated and is not
able to provide the information if there is an issue of major outbreaks faced by the senior managers of CHD.
By improving the system capabilities for CHD will enable the staff to stay connected with it while they are
out of the centre and need information about the upcoming outbreaks as well be able to provide the public
health data plan information in digital format for the senior manager so that they can take rapid and
appropriate decision for such outbreaks. As the present system is not capable of doing these work and also
is not ready for the expansion, the new system will be implemented on its place which can work for both.

This project is a big project whether according to the time or budget or aim and objective. This project will
also lead to uncertain positive changes in this field. The expected outcomes with this project are:
 CHD encouragement in health care work.
 New advanced technology of EMR and public health informatics technology which will be able to
transfer the information of public health cares and CHD will be able to easily solve medical issues with
less time.
 Easy transaction of important information
 Outbreaks will be able to sort out in less time as the senior managers will have needed information
anywhere in digital format.
Budget Estimation
According to the project aims and requirements, estimation of the budget will justify the work and will be
