INTRODUCTION
The United Kingdom is a kind of sovereign state located off north western coast of Europe.
This nation includes island of Great Britain and its overall population approximately 62, 262,

healthcare service to all permanent residents.
In this report, it will be consider the issue of smoking which will be identified in adult’s
population in UK. This report will describe about the health and social determinants related to
the smoking, identified that how will increase inequalities in context of health outcome.
Furthermore, it will discuss about the principle and theory which applicable in health promotion.
However, identified the significant role of nurses in context of public health and intervention to
support large number of population regarding health condition.

The social determinants of health are becoming consider as non-medical factors that
influence health result or outcome. It is depending on the certain condition in which people are
growing, working and living in particular manner. These are consider the forces and system
include social norms, policies and procedures (Drope and et.al., 2018). On the basis of research,
it has been shown that heath & social determinants in regards of smoking. Nowadays, young
generation, adults are majorly attracted towards harmful substances. This is because of life style
change and always influencing people to adopt new things. For Example- Different studies are
represented that 30-35% of adults consume harmful substance such as Tobacco, in order to
generate health result or outcome.
