INTRODUCTION
Public health strategies defined as to promote and protect health and prevent disease ,
injury (Wagner and Lam, 2019). This guides the communities to build the strong public health
system and also aids to undertake course of action that improves and maintains the health of
people.
The present report is based on the public health strategy, 2011. Furthermore, following
steps will be taken as to critically understanding the public health theory, review the
effectiveness of public health policies and strategies. Additionally, study will gather about public
health provision to offer the best service.
MAIN BODY
What is Public health strategy 2011.
The main aim of public health strategy is to promote and prevent disease and injury. It is
plan of action that aids to outlines the vision, priorities and course of actions that deals with the
disabilities of the individual by providing the effective course of actions (Davis, Gaudino and Al-
Delaimy, 2018). In this, it can be stated that the public health policy is the global concern and
this is the prime responsibility of the Department of the health in UL to take steps that can aids to
bring more effective measures that helps to undertake better course of actions and Thus, main
aim of this policy is to have equal access to promote the good health, disease prevention and
health care services. Effective public health actions is mainly underpinned by the number of the
core factors and possible intervention that followed by action to secure the effective execution of
the public health strategy (Harris, Friel and Wilson, 2015). Henceforth, the basis principles of
public health polices are as-
Human centred health care- It is defined as policy that implemented by making the
individual put their focus on various terms as prevention, diagnostic rehabilitation and
also this aids to motivates the employees to undergo with better strategies of health
(McKinnell and et.al., 2019).
Human rights- Each individual has right to have the highest level of physical and
psychosocial health within the journey of his life.
Effective policy and good governance- Healthy policy is founded upon the evidence
based knowledge and cost effectiveness.

Health in all policies- The other sectors, organisation and institution should be involved
and must be co-responsible for improving and maintaining the public health.
New policies and approaches will address the past public health failure.
The main aim of the new policies and approaches is to bring improvement in the health
status of the health status of individual that mainly considers the aspects of quality such as health
and social security of inhabitants. It is the new era of the public health with higher priority and
dedicated resources (Wakerman, 2018). Thus, main goal of the public health strategies is to
achieve the excellent result, liberating the professional leadership and unleashing the innovation.
The new policies as Medical approach has provided the number of opportunities for better health
and to take initiatives to have reduction within the inequities in health of individuals. This is one
of the effective approach as this reflects the core value of freedom, fairness and responsibilities
by enhancing the self esteem, confidence and personal responsibilities (Baum, 2018). It is the
approach that will also aids to address the root cause of the poor health and well being in order or
reaching out the families and individuals who their support in the effective manner. This public
health policies needs to be framed out in order to prevent spreading of communicable disease.
Additionally, it can be stated that the New Public Health policy is defined as integrative
approach that protects and promotes the individuals and society health status. The fundamental
policy of the New public health is mainly based on the responsibility and accountability of the
regional, local authorities for setting out effective health and well being within the society (Gakh,
2015). The new approach of public health strategies is also inclusive of voluntary sector sand
private sectors such as private sectors, medical equipments and vaccine manufactures etc.
The main motive of the New public health policy is takes the initiative to seeks to bring
improvement in health of population with the application of cumulative evidence in terms to
published and other factor such as social, biological and physical components that impacts the
health of the society (Stickley and Hogan, 2017). Thus, new polices of the Public health has
announced number of strategies that aids to bring the effective actions by looking over the health
status of the people within the UK. In addition to it, by promoting the wider application of these
kind of tools and greater awareness of achievement and failures in health of public leads to
improve the capacity and to bring out the greater change in the population of the health in the

of the issues the firm needs to incorporates the programmatic approach to the health services

the quality of life.

In the past, British health care policies has recognised the great different in the health
status within the different regions of the country and social classes of the individuals. After

promoting the awareness among people so that apart from the management of health issues
diseases can also be prevented. The increasing awareness among people will assist in preparing
communities from preventing diseases. Another distinguish element of current health policies
which makes them different and more effective from the earlier policies is that existing policies
emphasis on community engagement. The change in life style can bring significant difference in
lives and health status that programs such as Healthy lives healthy people guide people to
perform activities such as diet changes or exercises or change in life style to improve their
health.
The New public health policies also helps to have reduction in the smoking and tobacco
through the use of health promotion that includes the restrictive legislation such as are burden of
the heart disease, chronic conditions such as respiratory disease and also aids to have reduction
in the length of the hospitalization. Hence, the companies that produce and promote the
production of tobacco mainly lacks the adequate awareness of the public health and

public health promotion has effective health care access as this aids to make integration of trans-

management more effective in order to maintain and promote better health to the individuals.
The one of the major beneficial aspect of New Public Health is to make the health of
public more healthier by reducing the differences between the heath of different groups with
promoting the healthier lifestyle and to take supportive actions by the local governments. The
main aim of this strategies is to protect the nations from the hazards of the public health. In the
current scenario, the legal authorities needs to take right frameworks for enterprise and creation
of jobs. Central and local government has also taken the number of the strategies that aids to
support the economic growth of the county by working well (David, Thomas and Balandin,
2019). The main aim of New public health strategies is to prevention of the disease and
disabilities that aids to bring out the relief the suffering and one of the economic benefits to this
is can be to individuals, communities and health system in the general.
From the findings, it has been found out that another area for the public health success is
the continued reduction in the suicide rates. Therefore, New public health policy of 2011 has also
introduced the restriction on the sales of paracetamol and use of the blister packaging that mainly
connected with the reduction in admission to hospital and death from the poisoning of
paracetamol (Lowe, Whitzman and Giles-Corti, 2018). This could be possible only with the

Public health care agencies need to take more initiative in terms to have reduction in the
tackling the violence, abuse and use of Tobacco. This helps to bring effective
improvement in the health status of the people and this also leads to have control on death
rates.
The legal authorities of the UK should take the initiatives to create right framework for
the enterprise by job creation (Williams, 2018). This enables people to work, safeguard
and improve the health of people at work by promoting effective strategies to health.
The pubic authorities needs to take the steps that seek to the improve the health of
population with help of application of the commutative evidence so that the overall things
can be done effectively.
Health outcomes must not be measured solely on basis of emergency services, hospital
admission of patients and mortality rates. Instead other parameters such as work style,
nutritional needs and diet practices of vulnerable groups must also be taken into account
for evaluating health outcomes.
The publich health outcomes must be measured in four key domains namely health
improvement, health protection, wider health determinants and prevention of premature
mortality.
