Article Review: Public Relation in Nation Building
PR is a process in which knowledge distribution between individuals or organizations and the
public is intentionally handled. Public relations may entail the usage of general interest issues
and news reports that do not involve substantial advertising by an agency or a person that is
known to the media. Professionals in public relations shape the picture of an agency. They
create the brand, distribute the image of the company and reduce the negative advertisement
impact. The PR person may have to manage all positions in a small organization, such as a
media touch, the criticism deflector itself (Mary Ann Ferguson, 2018). This is a strategic
engagement mechanism that creates mutually beneficial linkages between organizations and
hence the citizens. "The task of handling contact with an entity and public may often be
known as government relations to marketing.
The study analyzed the techniques of public relations used in presidential speeches to
establish South African ties in democracy. It was done by studying the three Nelson, Mbeki
as well as Zuma Presidents ' international discourses from 1994–2009. In democratic
discourses about nation-building, a qualitative discourse study was used to discuss five
significant aspects (Erica Weintraub Austin & Bruce E Pinkleton, 2015). Public policy is
affected at any stage of governance: local, state, global and even worldwide. State ties are
meant to encourage policy leaders to alter or retain policies to properly adapt to a particular
group's needs. Various issues were identified: relationship management, democracy, national
identification, and domestic growth. This leads to the creation of irrigation, highways, and
employment. This implies the advancement of schooling, but most notably. Civil society
engagement and the establishment of democratic government institutions that promote
healthcare must be required for nation-building.
Public relations are a way of contact between the public and an agency. It will also provide an
appropriate arm for political affairs, which should concentrate on the relationship between an
entity and the political and its various departments and officials. To analyze more thoroughly
the features of presidential political discourses on national development, an exploratory
discussion study was undertaken (Mpho Chaka, 2014). Such analyses in current research help
promote collaboration, build a shared national identification strategy and social unity through
the use of political campaign approaches, particularly for government, community members
and public relations practitioners (PRPs) that work together to strengthen the partnership

between government and public policy. business communication practitioners (Michael
Kunczik, 2016).
The purpose of public relations is always to convince the media, advertisers, sponsors,
workers and other stakeholders to maintain their opinions, their leadership, their goods or
their political decisions in a certain way. It is also assumed that popular relations help to
create a country, which helps more to unify the population inside the state such that it stays
politically secure and sustainable in the long term. This may include the use of advertising or
the construction of new infrastructures to encourage societal peace and economic growth,
says the President.
