INTRODUCTION
Operation and service management is one of key tasks for the management of every
organisation and business. Nowadays, upper management need for conducting this task in too
appropriate way for gaining an excellent result (Erat, 2017). There are many of work comes
within the operation management task, like; design of process and product, inventory planning
and control, planning and control of distribution channel and quality management, etc. This
existing report discusses Puma’s operations and service management aspect. Puma is a very
popular German MNC that commonly provides equipment, clothes, footwear, sports and fashion
accessories etc., headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Nowadays this company has
served in lots of countries under across the globe. This report discusses various aspects & factors
also which has completely related to Puma’s aspect of operations and service management.

There are lots of operation management practices has operated through the upper
management of Puma (Dogru and Keskin, 2020). However, nowadays quality management is the
of key practice for upper management of existing company. Generally, Puma. believes in
offering the quality goods and services within market place, because different customers &

approaches, so that present management at Puma completely aware about how to implement

services, so that it has gained huge competitive advantage within market place. Nowadays most
customers or people within across the globe depends on the Puma to fulfil their needs of clothes,
equipment, footwear, sports & fashion and accessories etc. In these all operation management’s
approaches, there is TQM (total quality management) is the most appropriate approach for Puma
(Kim, 2017). Suppose, Nike and Reebok two other brands within market place which also
provides same products or goods which provides by Puma, so that both brands are main
competitors to Puma in market place. For example; the Puma hires only talented and skilled
employees in its productions’ operations, because the production department is place to company
where it has developed or innovated various range of goods & services.
On the other hand, research and development department at Puma is too active its present
job role within Puma (De Boer and Andersen, 2019). in which R&D department mostly finds
such paths for production department that reduces wastage quantity. Generally, when a business
uses latest & modern technology in its place of work, then it can easily complete own different
operations within decided time scale with too much effectiveness. Basically, these all are main
activities conducted by upper management at Puma in its work environment for running its
practice of quality management in very proper channel. After conducting operation
management’s practice, currently, Puma enable for selling various quality products within
market place.
The company always hires such suppliers which provides the best raw-material to
company, in which when Puma use this quality raw-material, then it enables to produce quality
footwear, clothes and accessories for its millions of customers worldwide. Currently company
has lots of leaders and supervisors who 24*7 works in its production department for maintaining
very effective quality of products. Sometimes, they reject products which has very bad quality.
