Introduction
Ranjith Kumaran and Mehdi Ait Oufkir were the co-founders of a multimillion startup,
Punch Tab, based in California by February 2011. Both men decided to create something that
was better than their previous project. Punch Tab, a successful organization resulted from a
consultation from expert companies about their marketing strategies and how they handled their
customers online. What a huge success for Kumaran and his colleague to tap into.

From the description of Punch Tab’s business model, the most probable business model
was the Freemium Model (Teece, 2010). This is because, the services that were offered by Punch
Tab to the customers were majorly online and at no cost at all. A long term relationship between

the business model. The plans were laid out but the execution of it would cost more than it

would be great for Punch Tab. The investors would want an exchange for a stake in the company

huge contributor to the organization as long as investors who can push through with the highs
and lows of the method are found.
Short-term and long-term partners
The investors for the short term aspect are the angel investors known for using their own
money as capital to start another business and finance the project at the initial stages. The short-
term aspect is for this type of investors since they stand for it (Hallen & Eisenhardt, 2012).
Furthermore, Punch Tab did not have a strong connection with angel investors and needed some
time to work on it. In the long term, the Venture Capitalists are the best partners for the venture
because they can afford losing interest at the beginning of the project when a project does not
succeed.
