their approach for the supply of green energy and this resulted in a much affordable green or
renewable energy compared to other suppliers of green energy. They operated an app-based
model, making use of modern technology and avoiding paper bills (Hanohov and Baldacchino,
2018). In this approach customers to which organisation supply renewable energy supply can
manage their account via the pure planet app and its website.
Innovation is playing an important role in modern organisations. This is because
customers in modern times are looking for something that enhances value that they are getting

was of three entrepreneurs which presently involves around 80 members. In order to build a
entrepreneurial team founders ensures that organisation and its culture is not corporate and

believes in positive, vibrant and engaging workplace where individuals are respected. Every
member in the team is passionate about wanting to make world a better and more sustainable
place. In building this type of team leaders also play an important role as three of the founders sit
in open plan office and work with different teams. Leaders in Pure Planet are approachable
through face-to-face or available through message. In its team, Pure Planet also place importance
to wellbeing and mental health of employees and also has an external Employee Assistance

renewable energy. This business Pure Planet was founded by three friends and in a few years
organisation by three friends employs around 80 people. There are different reasons that
contributed in growth of organisation. These reasons involve right approach of managing
organisation, organisational culture, and leadership approach. They run their business with the
philosophy of putting people at the heart of running business that has created their culture. They
also created an environment that was inspiring, motivating and meaningful. With help of such
organisation and management they managed to encourage and motivate people in organisation to
effectively perform and contribute in organisational success. Their organisations and teams are
also based on trust and less structured (Wang, Li and Jiang, 2019). They also believe in
recruiting right people in which they recruit a people director, and also demonstrate the
importance of commitment in organisation. They are also placing importance on making

organisation operating at small and medium scale creates jobs for local people. This means such
organisations create jobs for local people and this way local people get employment (Gilfillan,
2018). This is a important contribution to economy as big organisations do not provide much
employment to local people and this is why small and medium size businesses provide
employment to local people. Pure Planet is based at Bath, England and its existence contributes
in creation of jobs for those who are living at and are residence of Bath, England.

This is another contribution that has been made by Pure Planet in which they encourage
and motivate employees to innovate and identify creative solutions for the existing and potential
problems. Pure Planet contributed in economy by providing innovative solution through their

difficulty in their survival as well. This happened because of different reasons such as lockdown,
unpreparedness of the businesses, nature and form of business, ongoing expenses, improper
management of employees. Other than this, elimination or reduction of productivity as result of
pandemic is another reason to affect survival of the businesses. This means that in situation when
businesses are not able to continue their production operation how they will distribute their
services and products. This causes difficulty in survival of small organisations.

This situation is also relevant in case of Pure Planet, this means that because of pandemic
and lockdown they are not able to continue their production activity and this creates a problem
that can cause difficulty in survival of the organisation.
Other than this, continuing cost and expenses is another reason because of which small
organisations can face survival difficulty. This means that there are different types of expenses in
which some are variable expenses and others are fixed expenses, termination of production for a
particular time might reduce and eliminate variable cost but it does not stop incurring fixed
expenses (Akpan, Udoh and Adebisi, 2020). As a result organisation is not earning anything,
expanses can create threat for its survival.
Management during lockdown and pandemic is another challenging situation, this means that
during lockdown employees were working at home. In such situation working with limited
resources and management of employees and subsequently management of their work and
performance also became difficult for the organisation. Such difficulties can lead organisation
and its business towards threat of survival.
Recovering from pandemic is also difficult, in this situation when organisations are not able to
recover with the effect of pandemic in such situation they face survival threats for the
organisation. This is because along with financial resources organisation also experiences
difficulty in attitude of the employees. Many organisations also undertook termination of
employees in such situation, when business restarts organisations also face difficulty in working
with limited people, this affect performance of the organisation and they are likely to affect
recovery of the organisation.
However in relation with Pure Planet it managed to survive and run during pandemic
