INTRODUCTION
The information and communication technology (ICT) is having a great role in
developing an effective communication with PureGym members and developing a strong
customer relationship with them (Ashrafi and Bashir, 2011). This largely contributes in acting
responsibly towards growth opportunities and developing various modern approaches to
management in practices. In this particular assignment, the introduction to PureGym is given
along with defining various growth strategies followed by the firm in order to earn higher profit
in marketplace.
TASK 1
1. Introduction to PureGym
The specific organisation is dealing in health club and engaged in delivering quality
services to people who are preferring to gain a healthy and fit body. This particular company was
found inyear 2009 while logo of company was registered by owner in 2015. This specific
organisation is having about 450, 000 members who are the part of this particular Gym and
engaged in carrying out various exercises to make a fit body. The is PurGym is basically
providing better environment and opportunity to develop healthy practices I daily life of people
and live active and healthy life (Pemsel and Wiewiora, 2013). The headquarter of the company is
situated in the Town Centre house, Leeds United kingdom and developing high amount of
profitability in business environment.
This respective enterprise firm is acting responsibly in the growth of business through
expanding the GYM in different markets. PureGym is working in the United Kingdom profitably
with having more than 140 Gyms in different localities and cities. Company is engaged in
supplying its services to the Health industry and enables another person to live longer, happy and
healthy. In last of 2015 the business firm also acquired all the Gym from its close rivalry LA
fitness to expand their business profitably in marketplace. The company is working in
collaboration with the various firms like Great run, UK running event and the matrix in order to
promote the business services in nation more effectively.
The sited PureGym is open for 24 hours. This Gym offers a services user to wide range of
equipment and the exercise in order to accomplish various fitness needs of their large numbers of
members. The company is providing various cardio equipment, exercise classes about more than

50 classes in week, fixed and free weights. The PureGym is equipped with the different security
system connected with the real time TV which supervised by security staff continuously.
TASK 2
2. Organisational structure of PureGym
The Gym or the health club industries are following up different types of organisational
structure as per their size and the scope of development or operations. The company may
develop flat structure or functional structure as per the needs of business firm to act profitability
in the business environment depending upon the compatibility of the business activities and
operations. PureGYm is following up a simple operational structure in action in order to reduce
the confusion and delinquency in the roles of executives (De Vries, 2010).
PureGym is having a managing direction who is acting as to most upper position of the
hierarchy. The managing directors is involved in devising various growth and development
strategies and having responsibly to develop profitably decision making process for organisation
development in business environment. Next to this the work is divided on the basis of different
functional department in the organisation. Lower to the managing director the Centre head and
marketing heard is accomplishing his duty in order to follow up devised strategies by the
managers and also contribute in decision making process by the higher management people
(Fitness Center Gym Business Plan. 2016).
The Centre head is having its subordinate Accountant and trainer who are working at the
lower line of action and involved in carrying out basic activities and delivering services to the
members of the company (Edwards and Bowen, 2013). The Pure Gym marketing head is
responsibly acting in developing various strategic plan in order to implement a effective
information and communication technology (ICT) system in practices. This helps in increasing
the sales of firm in many folds through developing a effective communication relationship with
their customers and accessing various needs of the members of the firm. The trainer hired in the
PureGym is also working at two level one is personal trainer who is providing training or fitness
guidelines only to a single member of gym. While the common trainer is providing training to a
complete group.

3. Modern management approach used by PureGym to act successfully in business environment
The business firm should be responsive in selecting appropriate modern management
approaches in order to contribute in higher profitability of enterprise. The firm is actively
responsive in devising various new strategies relating with to that of different situation for
development and growth of the entity. Various management formulation which can be followed
up by companies in order to act confidently in response to different situations are situational,
contingent and the system approaches (French, 2015).
The PureGym is following up system approach in their action in order to developing
effective working organised system in their practices of the business firm. This will helps in
reducing the over cost and maintaining higher profit over the investment (Mellahi and Budhwar,
2010). The system management is followed up by the developing of a Simple operational
structure in order to develop a quick responding system to act towards various condition and
situation effectively. Pure Gym is following up a systematised structure in managing the
practices and the internal competence in response to various growth strategies (Mishra and Uday
Bhaskar, 2011).

4. Innovative strategic management objectives of PureGym
The Porter generic model is followed up by PureGym firm in response to various growth
opportunities available in marketplace to expand business faster and more profitably as
compared to other rivalries in business environment. The company in functioning upon its
various internal strength in order to develop higher competitiveness in the working environment
by acting responsibly in defining various growth strategies in order to achieve the targets and
objectives of PureGym. The business is following up cost leadership in the market and is
delivering its health club services only within the 40 Euros to potential members of Gym.
PureGym is also following up the differentiation strategies like providing a no contract services
to members of company (Brown, 2013). This helps in developing a trustworthy relationship with
customers. Also, company may devise various focus strategies depending upon cost focus or
differentiation focus as per needs of members and marketplace.
The PureGym is also carrying out SWOT analysis in order to access the internal strength
and weaknesses of the firm in order to react confident towards various opportunities and threat in
external environment. The SWOT analysis of PureGym is as follows:
