successful risk management plan in order to conduct project activities in appropriate manner
(Kerzner, 2013). Risk register play a crucial role in managing as well as implementing project
task and activities in effective manner. It has been identified that there are various types of risk
that is associated with respective project plan. It is essential for manager to manage these risk in
appropriate time. So that project task could be effective and efficient managed as well as desired
targets is also accomplished. Role of risk register in risk management plan as well as project
management is given below.
Risk register is helpful in providing complete as well as appropriate information to
project manager. This will support in analysing as well as identifying different activities
that could have negative impact on project activities.
This play important role in analysing as well as evaluating qualitative as well as
quantitative risk analysis.
Risk register support project manage to develop an impactful risk management plan in
order to accomplish set goals.
Through this risk management plan can be effectively created by project manager as well
as successful conducting project activities.
Risk register will lead to reduce the native impact of various internal and external factor
from project management activities.
Role of risk register includes monitoring as well as controlling of risk process in order to
get positive outputs.
Thus, there are several negative impact that could be faced by project manager when they
will not be able to identify risk as well as resolve it in effective manner (Meng, 2012). When
project manager of QA higher education is not capable to identify and analyse risk that is
associated with project will have to faced several issues. The major challenges that occur is last
running of project, overspent of budgets, poor implementation of task and activities as well as
failure of project.
CONCLUSION
As per the above analysis of risk register will lead to have significant impact over risk
management plan as well as determining various risk related to project. This is very helpful in
managing different risk of project as well as performing task in better manner.

TASK 3
INTRODUCTION
Communication is important part of the organisation and it helps in flow of message in
better and accurate manner. In this mathematical theory of communication is identified and
different methodologies.
Theories for communication process
Communication process can be describe as an effective process which consist of two or
more member. It is considered as two way process in which one person convey their thoughts
and ideas to other person (Meredith and Mantel, 2011). The major components of
communication includes sender, encoding, communication channel and so on. This is a dynamic
process of transmitting a message from one person to another. QA higher education needs to use
effective communication channel in order interact with sponsors as well as take better decisions.
A Mathematical Theory of Communication
This theory is developed in 1948 by Claude E. Shannon and it is considered as Shannon
Weaver model of communication. This theory is developed to enhance the interaction between
receiver as well as sender. Communication process consist of various elements that will lead to
have impact communication process as well as transmission of message in effective manner.
This theory includes various sources of information, transmitter, noise as well as channel by
which information is being sent to particular destination. Various elements of mathematics

Various elements of mathematics
theory of communication are describe below. Sender – This can be describe as a way in which team of QA higher education
communicate with stakeholder as well as convey thoughts and ideas. Encoding – It refers to the non verbal method of communication through body gestures,
signs as well as symbols. In this step sender will encode their message in effective
manner so that receiver understand the information (Ramazani and Jergeas, 2015). QA

education can convey message through verbal, non verbal as well as oral and written
manner. Communication channel – There are different communication channel that could be
used by QA higher education company. In this recipient communication channel is used
by respective university to covey ideas. Decoding – In this step receiver have to decode the message sent sender in order to
understand the message. By decoding the message receiver will be able to determine the
message. Receiver – This refers to the a person who will receive the message. In this case
stakeholder are the person who will receives the message which is send by project team
of QA higher education. Noise – This is considered as disturbing element in the communication process. In this
case there are various factors that is affecting communication process (Walker, 2015).
There are different types of noise such as encoded signals, crowd noise, thunder and
many other. This will lead to have negative impact on communication process.
Feedback – This is can be refers as the last step of communication process. It is essential
for QA higher education team to receive a proper feedback as this will lead to
communication of whole communication process.
Critique of methodologies
Agile methodology
This can be consider as an effective process of managing different activities of project. In
this project manager needs to break different activities of project into several parts or stages in
order to accomplish desired goals. This model involve constant collaboration with stakeholder as
well as focus on continuous improvement of project activities. This is an effective methods of
project management that is helpful in seeking alternatives of liner project management. Agile
methodologies includes a proper process such as defining, developing, release and evaluate. This
process will help in successful managing different activities of project.

This model in very flexible as well as adaptable to changes in environment. This will lead
to completion of different task in successful manner.
The methodologies is supportive in managing as well as developing of high quality
product and services of project.
Weaknesses
In Agile methodologies less importance in given to documentation and it make harder to
remember documents. This will lead to have negative impact over project management
activities.
This is more time as well as cost consuming for project manager and team to complete
task and activities.
Waterfall methodology
This methodology is a linear management approach of project which consist requirement
of stakeholder as well as customers. In this project manager will focus on identifying as well as
analyse different factors or requirement of key stakeholder and clients in order to take better and
efficient decision. Waterfall model is developed in 1970 and developer of this model was
Winston W. Royce. This model process includes various phases such as requirement, design,
implementation, verification as well as maintenance. This is considered as an effective method
for managing as well as developing process for accomplishing set goals. QA higher education
university will be appropriate able to match with the requirement of its stakeholder in effective
manner.
Strength
This model is very simple to understand as well as easy to use. So Waterfall methodology
will be help project manager of QA higher education in to implement project task and
activities in effective and efficient manner.
This methodology is very easy for manager of respective university and it has specific
deliverables as well as process of review. Waterfall model includes different clearly defined stages that will lead to smooth
functioning of project.
Weaknesses
Waterfall model includes high amount of risk as well as uncertainties. This can have
negative impact on overall performance of project activities.
