Introduction
QA Higher Education has completed refurbishment of its teaching rooms as well as computing labs in London,
Birmingham and Manchester in order to ensure students as well as staffs excellent learning environment as well as
access to the latest technology for supporting studies and teaching. In this situation, the university wishes to organize a
major launch event for publicizing this as well as celebrating success of the project. Being the project manager for the
event, it is important to develop an effective project management plan for the project.
Present study deals with budgetary information, timescales, objectives, approach, key staffs and stakeholder analysis. In
addition, work breakdown structure and risk register are presented. On the other hand, quality leadership as well as
comparison of Agile, Waterfall and PRINCE2 methodologies are discussed along recommendations are given.

excellent learning environment and access to the latest technology for supporting studies and teaching. In this situation,
the university to celebrate success of the project. Being project manager for the event, it is required to plan the event
carefully. The sponsor of the project is managing director. A project plan is required to develop where it is important to
involve the stakeholders who will perform the project activities as per the schedule of the project.
1.5 Key staff
The key staffs of the project are managing director, manager, relationship manager of the university, voluntary staffs
from students and event organizers. It is important to develop an effective project management plan that would be
helpful to develop the project in appropriate way. On the other hand, it is required to plan the event carefully and ensure
that is scheduled properly within the calendar of events as well as consists of formal ceremony, informal scope for the
staffs along with the students getting the tours of the building and celebratory components that consists of food and
drink, invitations to local or national dignitaries.
