would help in attaining the desired goal. This mobile application would help in enhancing the
knowledge of students in regards to societies’ events and QAHE clubs as well and these are also

Short report
Project Report
In the given case, basically the university i.e. QA Higher Education has planned to enhance
engagement of students towards different actions taken by University through conducting extra-
curricular activities. Along with this, QAHE has taken into consideration of a whole new
mobile application, which may effectively deliver detailed date of QAHE societies and clubs
events as well. In present event, QAHE has supported students so that it could directly publicise
itself through enhance their knowledge in relation to day to day introductions with the help of
mobile application. Including this, main aim within the report is to show the different
methodologies along with the leadership's value so that the whole project could effectively be
improvised.
Need for effective communication:
Project has been built to improve the engagement of students towards different curricular
activities that QAHE is offering for their own betterment and to get the appropriate knowledge
of what processes and procedure are utilised by University. In present context, effective
communication among project manager and all the subordinates who are working on preparing
the online application for students so that they can see all the activities which are done by
University in relation to curricular activities. If the communication among them is not going to

be effective enough then it is may be possible that the desired outcome which is to engage
students among different curricular activities may not take place in an effective manner. For
example, as QAHE has decided to deliver the information to students about all the curricular
activities and if any sort of miscommunication may take place then the whole project might not
deliver the right results which are decide by the University. In present context, the theory that
can be taken into consideration by project manager is Tuckman's team working theory and it is
presented underneath:
Tuckman’s team working theory:
This theory consists of four different phases which are required by project manager to
understand while preparing for the effective communication and these four different stages are
presented underneath:
Forming: This stage, will effectively help all the team members of the project to get to know
about all the information about their own job roles along with the task that they will be
performing. This will automatically help project manager to improve overall communication
level in much effective and efficient manner. This could be understood without good example
where project manager will assign the tasks to all the team members based on their own
capabilities and this is where suggestions can also be taken by project manager for the better
decision taking process to build the online application for QAHE University.
Storming: This is considered to be the second phase where, conflicts among team members may
take place because of the assigned jobs and if the appropriate knowledge is not been given by
project manager while developing the online application for the university then it is may be
possible that the whole project might not reach to the desired outcome. In present context, you
will be required by project manager to effectively take into consideration of communication
process where he or she can effectively deliver all the information in relation to the project so
that appropriate decisions can easily be taken.
Norming: Third phase where, team members start taking path in different tasks which are being
given by project manager and also this is the phase where proper communication process is
specifically being built among project manager and all the team members. In present context,
suggestions can be given by all the team members to each other in order to reach to the
objective witches to build an online application for students of QAHE University.
Performing: All the assigned jobs are effectively performed by all the team members through

resolving all the problems which has been faced by them in the second phase of the model. This
is the phase where execution of all the activities that majorly takes place. Change, all the
conflicts are reduced to minimal. This is the phase where all the team members of forms
different tasks for achieving the common goal which is to engage all the students of QAHE
University.
Importance of Strong Leadership:
It has been evaluated that in order to execute project in a successful manner it is important to
ensure that strong leadership is into action. As with the help of this project can be accomplished
in best effective manner along with great benefits. Main aim that has been hold by management
of university through this event is to increase engagement of students within extra-curricular
activities.
Methodologies:
In present time, it is said that there are different methodologies and these are: Waterfall, Agile
and PRINCE2 as well, QAHE management could effectively aid in executing the project in
specified time frame as well. On the other hand, life cycles can not be seen inside Agile
approach. While as far as Waterfall, each progression can be mapped demonstrating the
progression of progress at each stage. It helps in suitable documentation and assurance of
optional arrangements. In the event that any change happens then each stage must be contrived
again demonstrating that the time has come expending. Prince2 is a customisable administration
strategy which helps with picking up stipulated results, anyway it isn't reasonable while
executing small ventures (Pollard, 2019). Therefore, Waterfall model will be effective enough
for the whole project to get completed in the stipulated time frame but it is may be possible that
right outcomes may not be pulled out by project manager of QAHE University. This is why,
project manager of QAHE should take into consideration of prince2 model which will not only
be helping in focusing upon the alternatives but it will also lead to improve the overall
efficiency level of the overall project.
Recommendation:
PRINCE2 Methodology, is being considered as one of the crucial approach, which will directly
lead the overall investigation to take place in regards to large scale event. Away with this, it is
said that there are number of evaluation done on considering different technique management of

university have an opportunity to undertake customization of their choice as per in accordance
with the event as well as project requirement (Diletta and et. al., 2019).
CONCLUSION
Considering the above mentioned report, it is being concluded that project management
could help a business organisation in meeting the desired goal, which could be both short or
long. On the other hand, it is also summarised that considering the risk register, a project
manager could effectively take right decisions among various programmes so that appropriate
modifications could easily be made. Including this, it is also concluded that considering Prince2
methodology, a project could effectively pull out favourable or positive outcomes. Project
manager also stays responsible for different success of project.
