INTRODUCTION
The project management can be referred to as the process which involves leading work of
the team so that the goals of it are accomplished within given constraints. The main aim of the
project management is mainly to produce complete project that can comply with the objectives
of it (Frijns, Van Leeuwen and Bierwolf, 2017). The present report is involves the project
initiation document and work breakdown structure. The project involves the development of new
QAHE recreation mobile application so that the students can get the update on clubs and
societies event of QAHE along with contact details and the students shall have the freedom to
publicize their events also.
MAIN BODY
1. Project initiation document
It is regarded as one of the significant artifacts in the project management that provides
foundation for business project. It consists of information relating to starting up the project. The
main aim of this is to record and capture the basic information which is required to define and
also plan project (Coller Frigotto and Costa, 2018). In relation to current project, the QAHE is
planning to develop the mobile application which can provide the students regarding the
activities and events that will took place in campus in order to engage them in recreational
activities. The following are the components of project initiation documents-
Budget: It is the estimation of expenses and revenues for the specific period of time and
is required to be reevaluated on periodic basis. It is the sum of amount which shall be used for
the project (Dobie, 2020). For the QAHE recreation mobile application, £200k shall be utilized
which will be divided into following-

Timescale: It is basically the time required or allowed for completion of the project. In
respect of present project for QAHE recreation mobile application, the project shall require the
time period beginning from 22 June 2021 to 26 August 2021.
Objectives: It is the aim for the achievement of which the project is being initiated. The
following are the objectives of QAHE recreation mobile application:
To engage students in extra-curricular activities.
To provide the daily updates regarding the QAHE events of clubs and societies.
To provide the students with the details of what is going in QAHE campus except the
timetabled class sessions.
To make communication easy with the representatives from societies and clubs.
Approach: The main approach of this project is to make the students engage in the
activities and make them aware of what is going on in the campus except the classes. This
project will help in personal development of students in QAHE.
Key staff: It involves the staff which shall be required to manage the project. For the
present project, the following key staff shall be required-
The project manager who shall manage team, their activities and task of whole project.
The graphics team of 4 members which shall design the software application.
The other people who shall gather the information regarding the events of societies and
clubs.
Stakeholder analysis: They are the most essential part of the project as they are required
to be communicated with every detail of the project (Azanha and et. al., 2017). For the current
project of QAHE recreation mobile application the following stakeholders are required to be
communicated with details of project-

2. Work breakdown structure
It is the key deliverable of the project which organizes the work of the team in the
managerial sections. It is the decomposition of total work which is to be carried out by the team
of project so that its objectives are achieved. It is important for this present project because it
breaks down the entire project into small task and activities together with the time required for
completing it so that the whole project is completed within the timescale allotted to it (Ferakhim
and Latief, 2019).
Critical path analysis: It is the technique of project management which requires mainly
mapping out the key task that is necessary for completing the project. It involves identification of
time which is necessary for finishing each of the activity and dependency of every activity on
others. The main rationale of this is to identify the important task in project so that high insight is
given to it in the project timeline as well as more understanding is provided as to which task
duration is to be modified and which is to be stayed same (Zhao, 2019).

CONCLUSION
It is concluded from this report that the project management involves the process of
taking the work of the team so that its goals are achieved. The project initiation document
consists of various components which helps in planning the project. The present project is based
on QAHE recreation mobile application which is to be completed with 200k pounds and will
begin from 22 June 2021 and last till 26 August 2021. The work breakdown structure involves
breaking the whole project into smaller task so that the whole project is completed on time.
