BUS 123: Self-Reflective Summary on Qantas Airline Presentation

Individual Self Reflective summary
There are many things which I have learned during the time of my group oral
presentation which helped me to improve my presentation skills and clearing out my business
concepts as well into the real world organization of Qantas. This will help me in analysing
industry of airlines with making up strategies and understanding basic techniques as well. With
the help of presentation I was also able to understand how to communicate among the group
members. This presentation also helped me to understand various kinds of cost strategies that are
used or applied within transportation industry organization in order to gain competitive
advantage. I have also learned how these cost strategies are used to develop business strategy or
growth strategy by the organization in order to increase or enhance their business. I also learned
how to lead a group and take required decisions considering viewpoint of all the group members.
Working with my group I have learnt many things like how to collect market information
regarded the company including like that of accounting analysis, financial, strategic, prospective
analysis. All the group members were performing very good and collaboratively while making
the presentation. My group was working in very good condition that helped me in enhancing my
oral presentation skill with analysis and valuation of important business concept. Working with
by team members also helped me in understanding different ways important and useful
information can be extracted and analysed in order to complete a project on time. Working
within a group also helped me to learn different ways through which knowledge can be shared so
that a particular task can be accomplished on time. I also learned to interact with many different
kinds of people.
There were many strength and weakness associated with this assignment at the time when
we were working into group for preparing oral presentation. (Strengths) includes working with
the group members, coordinating with them and collecting information from market in a group,
extracting useful information and analysing it, in order to be used. Every group member had
different idea that could be used or incorporated while making the presentation. Another one of
our main strength associated with this assignment was that all the group members were
supportive and understood each other. Due to this there were very few conflicts created during
the assignment. However, there were few weaknesses as well associated with this project such
as: (Weakness) each and every group member had their own idea of doing this assignment and it

was quite difficult for me to take decision that whose idea would be used and whose should be
rejected. Time management was another issue that was faced by me and my group members
because the time duration to complete this project was quite less and each and every group
member needed to prepare for the presentation as everyone participated within the oral
presentation. Another one of the main weakness in which of out group was that no priorities or
order was set in which assignment was to be completed.
