The advantages of partnerships also include
the hike in the labour income which
provides benefits to the working class of
Qatar (Armenski et al., 2018). There is a
reduction in the crime rate as well through
such partnerships which act as major
advantages for Qatar. There emerge to be
better protection provided to the natural as
well as environmental resources at Qatar
which boosts sustainability. There is much
encouragement given to the local
community of Qatar that helps in the
effective use of natural resources and boosts
the culture and heritage of the country
(Cheng and Wu, 2015).
Due to the partnership within the public and
private sector at Qatar, the projects related to
the sustainability of the tourism industry in
Qatar will gain the momentum and will be
completed on time that too in a cost-
effective manner. This will give a hike to the
financial resources which in turn will boost
the tourism industry of Qatar (Coccossis,
2016).
Disadvantages of public and private
sector tourism planning partnerships
Some of the limitations that create a
negative impact on sustainable tourism due
to the private and public partnerships
involve the rise in the sensitivity of the
investors due to the prevalence of the
political risks. Due to the public and private
partnership, there also emerged the problems
of the lack of coordination (Coccossis,

One such disadvantage of the partnership for
Qatar is in the terms of the tourism industry
which leads to a rising in the financial risks
due to the monetary outcomes (Devika et al.,
