innovation
INTRODUCTION
Nowadays digitalisation creates more impact on business activities. It helps to run a
business in better way and maximizes more profit. The project is dealt with a company Qbic
Hotel which is small business enterprise in hospitality industry It's performance is also increases
using digitalisation. The below project also presents a structure and Gantt chart with different
stages for completion. The report present the objective of using digital technology as it help to
increase the base of customers and aware the people about social media. The project also deals
with scope, cost and quality of using digital technology. It also tells us different qualitative and
quantitative research methods to meet the aim and objectives of QBIC hotel. The report also
analyses different tools and techniques and recommendations with conclusion which help in the
growth and performance of a company. It also reflects values of research to meet the need and
wants with objectives.

Background of study
Information and technologies are continuously rising in the present competitive
environment. Nowadays, researchers and software engineers are developing new and hybrid
technologies which has provided supported in reducing manual efforts, saving time as well as
cost of enterprise (Shaw and et.al, 2012). Small business enterprise and economy realises
significant benefits by embracing mobile and internet technologies to transform their operations.
Digital innovation is considered as use of digital tools or infrastructure to grow all-
important areas of business including finance, HR, marketing and production (Vigdor, Ladd and
Martinez, 2014). Hospitality industry has achieved high growth after innovating and
transforming its business model through digitalisation. By adapting new technologies, hospitality
firms have increased their facilities such as online service, E- payment, online booking that has
provided ample of profits by increasing customer's satisfaction and reducing cost of operations

(Murat and Baki, 2011). In accordance with this, present research includes different aspects of
digital technology that supports the growth and innovation of small business enterprise
(Westerman, Bonnet, and McAfee, 2014).With the support of appropriate structure and effective
research methodology, this project will provide support in analysing the influence of digital
technology on growth and innovation of business in hospitality industry (Fitzgerald and et.al.,
2014). For carrying out research, Qbic Hotel is taken in to consideration by scholar.
Organisation aims to facilitate new and quality services to its customers. Further,
technology has reduced extra efforts of Qbic Hotel and also provided support in decreasing their
cost of operations (Cavalcante, Kesting and Ulhøi, 2011). At present, company has achieved
competencies to generate ample of data and information about customers, employees and
stakeholders. While there are some challenges have been occurred faced by company to sustain
its position in hospitality industry. Below given are the aims and objectives of present research

Sampling
It is an important part of research methodology that involves selection of participants
from large number population for carrying primary analysis. Sampling has been conducted with
an aim of examining various research in order to collect data (Flick, 2015). As per study,
sampling has been divided in to two categories such as probabilistic and non-probabilistic
sampling. In this project, scholar needs to select small sample size for research, therefore,
simple random sampling has been used by scholar for selection of participants. 10 managers of
Qbic hotel are selected as sample as they will provide relevant information about organisation.
This technique is selected as in random sampling every person in population get equal
opportunity for being a part of sampling
Data Collection
It implies to method used for gathering relevant data related to impact of digital
technology on small business growth and innovation. There are two methods of data collection
such as primary and secondary (Panneerselvam, 2014). In this, questionnaire is designed by
scholar as a tool for collection of data from selected sample size of 10 Qbic hotel managers.
Further, scholar has also utilized secondary articles, journals and books for gathering secondary
information. By using both methods, scholar will be able to make research more accurate and
reliable.
Data Analysis
It is a process which involves some tools and techniques used for transformation of data
collected from primary sources for making useful information and interpretation of relevant
research outcomes (Smith, 2015). In this project, Thematic analysis method has been utilized by
scholar to carry out research on analysis of impact of digital technology on business activities in
appropriate manner. Themes are prepared to state the findings of study which helps in providing
meaningful conclusion.
