Reflective report
While writing dissertation file it is very important for individuals such as me to pay
attention towards some major elements. These are sources of data, questionnaire development,
using electronic data collection and analysis application, probability, data and descriptive
analysis, interviews and the way in which research could be performed. With the help of all of
them I will be able to complete a research in systematic manner as they are considered as base of
a dissertation.
While conducting research I have gained knowledge about different sources of
information which could be used to gather information for successful completion of it. There are
two main types of them first one is primary and another is secondary. When researchers use fresh
information to complete the research then primary sources are used and when already collected
details are used then secondary resources are used to conduct the whole research.
With the help of them I have analysed that to perform primary research it is very
important for the researchers to have effective communication skills. These are required to
conduct survey or ask respondents to fill questionnaire. If a person working on a dissertation is
not able to interact with others properly then it is not possible for them complete it in appropriate
manner as it may create issues to gather accurate information. For the purpose of conducting
secondary research it is very important for individuals like me to make sure that I have good
knowledge of online sources such as websites, books and journals. With the help of all of the
research could be conducted in systematic manner.
Both the sources of information has helped me to while demonstrating research and
statical knowledge because all of them guides me to get an insight into the ways which are
beneficial for the development of a project. All the information which is gathered from these
resources are used for the purpose of data analysis so that a conclusion could be made on the
basis of them.
Data analysis has benefited me to develop my critical thinking and analysis skills because
the collected details were assessed by me to make a judgement and find appropriate solutions for
research questions. It is the process of transforming, modelling, cleansing and inspecting the
details that are gathered to complete a dissertation. It has helped me to improve my decision
making skills because it supports to make a informing conclusion as well as the decisions which
are formed by a researcher for the research.

I have learned various things from these elements. For example, primary sources have
helped me to get in to touch with others and interact with them, analyse their point of view
regarding a particular aspect. Secondary sources of data has benefited me to find different
resources where I can get appropriate information to complete a dissertation. With the help of
data analysis I have developed my abilities to understand the raw information and then analyse
the same.
It has been analysed by me that Tesla operate their functioning as one of the leading and
fastest growing American automaker, solar Panel manufacturer and energy Storage Company in
California. Further the company hold specialisations in electric car, solar panels and their battery
energy storage. With the help of their qualitative products company effectively satisfy their
customers. In addition to this it has been identified by me with the help of the questionnaire
method that has been undertaken by me in which number of question has been asked by me to
company employees and staff members. From this it has been evaluated by me that company
believes the key issue that has been faced by them is research investigating sources which is
required to be undertaken on continuous basis in order to gain competitive advantages. With the
help of different type of sources of data of company this has been duly evaluated by me that
company believes to think out of the box as to ensure maximum share holdings in marketplace
and further increase organisational long-term sustainability. In the process of research
conduction it has been identified by me that questionnaire development effectively helps to
acquire different type of data and related information about company from organisational staff
members. As questionnaire is a practical application in which large amount of information’s can
be duly collected from large number of people. As Tesla operate their functioning as a largest
entity thus company is having number of employees thus with the help of questionnaire
development effective information has been collected by me in the short span of time. In addition
to this mode of data collection is also cost effective way and also provides reliable outcomes.
Questionnaire is mainly termed as an instrument in order to collect data thus; this method has
been undertaken by me to gather number of data about company with the help of this method fast
result has been acquired by me in short period of time.

Data analysis is mainly termed as a process in which inspecting, transforming, cleansing
and modeling of data is done with an aim to discover useful information in order to support
decision making. This method has been duly undertaken by me in the process of conducting
research. The main purpose of data analysis is that it allows to extract useful set of information
from the data and in order to undertake decisions. Further application of data analysis in research
allows effective structuring of the findings from different sources of company. In addition to this
data analysis allow me to break macro problems into micro parts as lot of data has been collected
by me in order to conduct my research. Thus with the help of data analysis method it has been
found out by me that global sale that has been achieved by Tesla 150,000 unit milestone in the
year 2016 which was the 4 years and 5 month after their introduction. In addition to this, Tesla's
fourth vehicle that is designed for the mass-market is the Model 3, which was unveiled in March
2016 and its production started in July 2017 with a base price of US$35,000, before any
government incentives. Thus, with the implementation of this method into the research effective
and systematic application of logical and statistical techniques has been done by me as to gain
beneficial outcomes.
In a research project data collection act as one of the most important aspect as with the

of the most important data collection mode with the help of which information’s can be acquire
even for sensitive topics. With the application of interview method in my research I duly ask lot
of questions from Tesla staff members. This method allows me to make them comfortable and
further gain more insightful responses. In addition to this it has been evaluated by me that this
mode allows me to acquire additional set of information’s. Along with this, this method helps me
to gain answer even for detail questions and generate high response rate. This mode of Data
Collection method mainly focuses upon data collection as there are different type of journals that
has been published by Tesla thus, it become bit hard to gain relevant information from them in a
short span of time thus with the help of interview method data collection has been done within
short span of time and further allow me to drive people interest subjects of interest. In addition to
this, this method allows me to get to know about the key issues that had been faced by company.
Thus it has been identified that with the help of interview method in my research data collection
has been done in time effective manner that further allow to accomplish research objectives in

well defined manner and with accurate set of information about company. This has been
identified by me that interview method allow me to effectively deal with refusals as there were
some employees those who refuse to be the part of interview as they feel that it is waste of time
and express anti-organisational feelings. Thus, with the help of this method I stimulate
employee’s interest towards my research and told them about my study. In addition to this with
the help of my adaptable responsive and friendly nature I overcome refusals in a well define
manner. In addition to this at many times I control the order of questions in order to save
employees time and gain accurate answer from them. Thus, this method allows me to acquire
information’s with the help of which effective research has been conducted by me with more
fruitful research outcomes.
With the utilisation of appropriate form of electronic data collection, data can be duly
collected in time effective manner. Electronic Data Collection method allows gaining potential
solutions and further help in improving data integrity. There are number of ways through which
data can be collected via electronic mode that include browser based systems, notebook
computers, personal digital assistants and more. It has been identified that with the utilisation of
Internet in research, data of large samples can be collected even in shorter span of time. With the
advancements in technology it has been identified that there are number of technical solutions
with the help of which information’s can be effectively collected. It has been identified that in
order to conduct research internet act as a promising medium for researcher as it is one of the
best effective vehicle to collect data. With the application of electronic Data Collection method
in my research I had easy access with lower cost and less time investment to organisational
details even of large sample size. In addition to this it has been identified by me that with the
help of electronic Data Collection method faster access to data can be ensured that further enable
in faster decision making and further offer support in different activities and functions. There are
different types of electronic Data Collection software with the help of which data can be duly
gathered. With the help of this mode of Data Collection, lot of time money as well as resources
has been saved by me as it allow lesser paper document work. It is not possible to accurately
maintain all the documents in correct format thus, this method allowed me to save collected data
and use them whenever needed. In addition to this with the help of this automatic process of Data
Collection method data can be also saved can be further utilised for future research. Thus, it has
been identified by me that electronic data collection enabled me to collect high quality data at

collection and help in proper evaluation and reporting process. It also help in reducing wastage

analysed different type of videos, pictures and audios of Tesla that has been provided by
company on their website. Through this I acquired lot of relevant information’s and data that
further aid me to conduct research in a best effective manner with positive research outcomes.
The data that has been collected by via electronic Data Collection method has been applied in
research that depicts that research has been conducted with accurate Data Collection sources that
had been also provided by company on their website.
Descriptive statistics are mainly termed as brief descriptive coefficients that duly
summarize a given data set that can further be either a representation of the entire or a sample of
a population. In addition to this, descriptive statistics are broken down into measures of central
tendency and measures of variability (spread). It has been identified by me that descriptive
statistics effectively allow me to summarise and describe characteristics of data set in a well
defined manner. Further this has been duly evaluated by me that this form of statics act as a
important aspects as if I simply present my raw data then it would be hard to visualise what the
data was showing as I already had lot of data. Thus with the help of descriptive data I
represented my data into more meaningful manner and further allowed myself to interpret data
into simpler manner. There was a lot of descriptive statistics that has been provided by Tesla on
their websites and other relevant places such as fourth vehicle of company that has been made
design for mass market is Model 3, this was unveiled in the year 2016 in March and the
production of this was started in 2017 in July, price of this vehicle was US$35,000, before any
incentives form government.
There are different types of sources of data Collection with the help of which data and
relevant information’s can be acquired as to undertake certain task. In this primary source of data
collection states, where that data can be collected via observation method, experiment method
and survey method. While in secondary data collection sources internal sources and external
sources are included. With the help of these Data Collection methods relevant information can be
acquired in order to conduct research in well effective manner. It has been identified by me that
data Collection is extremely challenging work that require proper understanding and
determination of different aspects through which data can be collected as by this collection of

order to conduct this research data has been collected by me via two different sources that are
primary and secondary data collection method. In primary source I gather data with the help of
questionnaire, interview and perceptions. While in terms of secondary Data Collection mode I
obtained require information through the optimal sources like journal of Tesla, books, magazines
that has been published by company, websites, documents that has been published by company
and more. It has been determined by me that information that has been obtained by me via both
of these Data Collection method provided number of benefits with the help of which effective
research outcomes has been gained by me. In addition to this lot of sources has been listed by me
in the segment of secondary data in which I evaluate internal and external environment of
company. There were lot of sources that has been offered by company upon their websites like
statement of profit and loss, inventory records, balance sheet, sales figures and previous
marketing studies that benefit me conduct my research in best effective manner. While
conducting the research it has been identified by me that secondary data collection is not
sufficient as in order to accomplish my research in best effective manner there is a need of
primary data collection method. Thus, for this I formed questionnaire and interview questions
with the help of which I acquire data from Tesla administration. Thus, it has been identify by me
that it is essential to undertake research with both primary and secondary data collection method
as they both have particular set of advantages through which best effective research outcomes
can be insured and accuracy of data that has been collected can be duly insured in well define
manner. In addition with this as to accomplish research objectives probabilities method of
Sampling is being undertaken by me. This is mainly a method of sampling in which use of some
certain form of random selection is being undertaken. With the help of this sampling technique
sample from large pool of data has been chosen. For example there were lot of data and
document that has been provided by Tesla on their websites but in order to accomplish research
main objectives sample of accurate data has been undertaken by me with the help of probability.
It has been identified by me that with the help of this measure reduction in margin of error has
been insured that further help me to provide validate of my research.
The process of action research mainly starts with identification of topic and research
questions. All the relevant collection of data has been undertaken by me and further proper
evaluation of all the collected data has been undertaken in a well defined manner. I properly

concluded that there are different type of research methodology with the help of which research

of these methodologies in order to gain maximum advantage from them in best effective manner.
