AI Summary
This report provides an assessment of qualitative research methodology within the context of nursing studies. It begins by defining the qualitative approach, emphasizing its reliance on firsthand observations, interviews, and questionnaires to understand opinions and motivations, particularly within healthcare settings. The report highlights the use of secondary data and theoretical frameworks in qualitative research to develop hypotheses and provide detailed information on specific topics. The core of the report contrasts the pros and cons of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Qualitative research is praised for capturing changing behaviors and offering flexibility, while quantitative research is valued for its ability to handle large datasets. The report concludes by summarizing the benefits of the qualitative approach for detailed data collection and analysis, while acknowledging the limitations of quantitative methods in normal research environments. References to relevant books and journals are included to support the analysis.

INTRODUCTION
Nursing is a kind of profession within the health care sector focused on the care of
individual, families and communities on that basis to better attain maintain or effective recover
optimal heath and quality of life (Devi and Shanmugalakshmi, 2020). In this following report
there is assessment of analysing research methodology to explain about qualitative research
along with pros and cons of qualitative as well as quantitative approach.
MIAN BODY
Illustrate what and why we use qualitative approach to forming question along with pros and
cons of qualitative and quantitative approach.
Overview of Qualitative approach: This approach is relies on data which obtained through
research perspective as on first hand observation, interview, questionnaires which mainly focus
towards recording natural setting within proper documentation. The main reason to use
qualitative research is to analysing proper understanding of opinion and reason or some sort of
motivation. As in research report which related to health care sector the overall findings and data
collection were on secondary source manner. It explain about the problem which help to develop
through hypothesis frame (Kendellen. and Camiré, 2020). As it also provide detailed
information about specific topic. According to the researcher he has taken qualitative approach
as overall findings were relies on theoretical and secondary data. Qualitative also provides to
making questionnaire as it leads to pulls off in such a manner where it generate proper justified
feedback from responded. Similarly the use qualitative approach in this concerned research
report of health care to aware about accurate response and suggestion from participants.
Pros and cons of Qualitative and Quantitative research approach:
Qualitative Approach:
Pros: It generally help on capture changing behaviour towards specific target group such as
consumer of a relative product ad service within workplace. Qualitative research are not bound through limitation within quantitative methods. It
depends on participants response if researcher do not get as what they actually expect
then it would creates data within numerical format.

Majorly every research is used qualitative research method because it is tend to flexible
approach to use as because information about data is easily scrutinised.
Cons:
As Sample size can be an issue in which if it is infer to create sample around 150-200 on
which there would be only 5-10 people will response on it.
The top level authroies like manager or Human resource manager they have competing
objectives as because one argument is would commence qualitative method.
Quantitative Approach:
Pros:
Many researcher use quantitative research in situation when researcher have large sample
size data and it formulate sort of questionnaire in which respondent to gain positive
outcomes.
As quantitative approach provide easier and faster responses (Rojas-Rivas and et. al.,
2020). Because it frame questionnaire in multiple choice form where large number of
respondent participate into it.
Cons:
There is sort of limitation for getting response trough participants.
Quantitative research approach is not possible to conduct in normal environment i.e it
need crowded areas or group of people to generate responses.
CONCLUSION
It is inferred from above report Assessment where it summarised the use of Qualitative
approach at the time of detailed information or data collected in secondary form then the
research er is reliable to scrutinise qualitative approach easier manner. Apart from it,
different pros and cons of qualitative and quantitative where quantitative is not much
recommended by researcher as it is having certain limitation to not conduct research in
normal environment and responses.
