Quality is one of an important aspects in the business for improvising on the standards
of operations. Performance improvement strategies through activity based programs are
effective in terms of measuring the effectiveness of the strategies. Performance measurement
involves business models, knowledge sharing, training, strategic planning among others
(Lasrado, Lasrado & Mahagaonkar, 2018). Activity based programs are effective in terms of
detecting the measures in which the operations could have been improved. Integrated
performance management strategies involves master improvement stories, which
accomplishes the goals, mission and vision, aligning them with the exposed performance.
Mention can also be made of the management systems, which assist in conducting the
assessment of the exposed performance. As a matter of specification, Lasrado, (2018) is of
the view that higher quality of the resources helps the staffs in exposing high quality work,
which is effective for enhancing the standards and quality of the operations.
Adopting sustainable business practices enhance the standards and quality of the
operations. In this context, reference can be cited of the long term planning, which helps in
securing the future of the business. Quality management programs are organized, where the
leaders play an important role. Objectives are prepared and communicated to the staffs for
averting the instances of conflicts, discriminations and harassments, which degrades the
quality of the operations (Lasrado, Lasrado & Mahagaonkar, 2018). Consistency is needed in
the quality management, which acts as an agent towards upgrading the standards and quality
of the operations. This consistency is also effective for altering the business outlook, which
proves beneficial in terms of luring more customers.

a) Human resource practices- These are the practices through which the HR managers
enhance their leadership skills, abilities and competencies. For example, training

courses and motivational programs are organized for the candidates by the skilled
efforts of the HR managers. Strategic planning is conducted by the HR managers for
detecting the best ways through which satisfaction of the clients and customers can be
achieved. Planning about the reward systems is also accounted as an important part of
the HR managers’ functions (Zhong, Wayne & Liden, 2016). One of the best human
resource practices is planning and revising health and safety policies for the
stakeholders and shareholders.
b) Leadership and strategic planning- Strategic planning is one of the essential
characteristic traits of a leader. Consciousness towards the creation of strategic
planning is effective for the leaders to ensure that the activities are in accordance to
the plans and requirements. Articulation of mission is effective for leading with a
positive and transformational philosophy. Evaluation is one of the other important
aspects, which adds value to the leadership skills, abilities and competencies. Kurucz
et al., 2017) opines that this evaluation helps in detecting the effective strategies,
which can be implemented for systematization of the search towards organizing the
behaviour according to the requirements. Planning before executing the tasks is one of
the motto, which the leaders need to practice and preach for leading the followers in
an efficient and effective manner. On the contrary, experimenting with the skill mix,
by performing some of the allocated tasks, is also assistance in terms of assessing the
effectiveness of the prepared strategies (Lasrado, 2018).
