Introduction
The following report is all about making a comparison between Queensland children
hospital and Perth children hospital. Queensland children hospital which is formerly known as
Lady Cilento Children Hospital that has brought various specialist on the same platform for the
given services in three of children leading facilities. This particular hospital comes up with
around hotel design that has around 359 beds and 12 clinical levels, which has more than 80,000
space of floor (Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017). The new hospital is known to be hub of state of
paediatric network and is known to be leading specialist for healthcare services in whole of
Queensland. Apart from this, it can work as a central hub for the whole of state wide network
which is used in children based healthcare services. Perth children hospital is situated in
Nedlands, which is known to be part of design partnership between Urban designer and JCY,
Cox architecture (Meredith, Mantel Jr & Shafer, 2017). The complete design is done concerning
the respective of children that is new Perth children hospital that helps in replacing the current
Princess Margaret hospital. It mainly aims to provide the best the kind of solution for the
upcoming generation and serve as the base needed for outstanding research. The hospital is
mainly inclusive of increase in the outpatient along with day to day services (Schwalbe, 2015). It
is merely inclusive of operation theatre and intensive bed care.
In the coming pages of the report, an idea is provided concerning various kind of
differences between two project that is Queensland children hospital and Perth children hospital.
After that, a proper reflection has been provided concerning breadth and depth of two projects
with respect to quality principles and standards. After that a detail instruction has been provided
with respect to link to some of the global practices. The next section of report deals with effect of

There has been increase in overall importance of development and intervention of
evaluation of complex intervention. The mere argument is all about drawing the attention of the
given task, which will increase the overall intervention of the task that will ultimately increase
the effectiveness of the trials. It is completely adopted on worldwide platform in the various part
of the world (Fleming & Koppelman, 2016). Any kind of poor intervention might lead to
development that is mainly wasted by tax payer’s money may result in expensive trials which
will result in intervention for flow in the real world. Perth children hospital project is value to be
around 1.2 billion dollars that aim to supersedes for the old Princess Margaret hospital, which is
centre excellence for children and healthcare. In the functional form, it will provide 298 beds for
patient and 12 operation theatres. The hospital has been designed in such a way that it can easily
provide latest facilities in the domain of medical services (Heagney,2016). Two institutes that is
telethon and university of Western Australia are completely designed as per the need of new kind

hospital. Healthcare service in this hospital is all about improving the health services and overall
performance of system performance. It is mainly needed to meeting the health and needs of
population (Turner, 2016). It mainly comprises of health services along with delivery
management along with the changing the pattern. It is all about making use of most suitable
available resources. Effective planning is known to be an important aspect of the project, which
ultimately helps in making investment in the public fund to deliver value and having overall
outcomes (Verzuh, 2015). Government framework for infrastructure needed for providing

In both the projects, there is a need for engagement of various stakeholders. In the both
projects, the project manager comes up with workshop which will help in research in overall
development of intervention. It comes up with much wider number of stakeholders that is
inclusive of director for funding (Binder, 2016). It is very much important to understand both
breadth and depth of project right before just about project management methodology is used.
Prince2 methodology is completely underpinned mainly by seven principles, themes and
processes. Project outcomes are completely checked by analysing the benefits along with money
that is spent. It comes up with huge number of benefits, which is mainly against the cost (Lock,
2017). It comes up with successful delivery project that comes up with huge number of benefits

in comparison to cost. Prince2 methodology of project management aims to drive out every
phase of the project. It is mainly done so that desired benefits are expected within the expected
cost along with mitigating the overall risk. Seven principles of Prince2 methodology are
Continued business justification: The whole of given process is completely aligned with
the given objectives of the business. It comes up with huge number of objectives which is needed
for clear justification of current in project lifecycle (Sears et al., 2015). It an iterating process of
each of the step and makes the whole objective update.
Learning from experiences: The complete knowledge is gained from each of the stages
which is recorded irrespective of success and failure execution (Kerzner, 2017). The main cause
is mainly do identified for both success and failure of the project.
Defining the roles and responsibilities: Every phase of the project is completely
executed by staff members who are experienced. The main focus is all about identifying the
given task for the given project
Managing by the help of stages: Project management team need to look for every stage
of the project that is planning, transitioning and designing (Joslin & Müller, 2015). Project
boards need to accredit and project manager for the outcome of the project. It requires to provide
every step to the board.
Managing by exception: Each level management within the project comes up with the
freedom for managing the overall accomplishment (Hornstein, 2015). Team leaders aim to
manage their team where there can be influence from the end of project manager.
Focusing on project: Every step of the given project focus on the overall deliverable or
given product (Todorović et al., 2015). All kind of description of the product is completely based
on the given for associated activities like design and planning.

present project manager. It is mainly done so that they can manage the overall activities.
Quality: Any kind of deliverable of the project needs to fit the purpose of the project.
Quality management is mainly come up with four sections that is quality management system,
quality assurance, quality planning and lastly quality control.
Planning: It is known to be most significant kind of process that is completely described
in Prince2. It is known to be iterative project planning, team planning and lastly stage planning.
Risk: The risk is completely defined as the overall possibility of occurrence of any kind
of misfortune. It comes up with amount of effect on the overall achievement of the objectives
(Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017). Risk management comprises of four subsection that is risk
management strategy, risk possibilities, riks management procedure and risk management
products.
Change Management: Any kind of change in the baseline of the project needs to be
completely captured and completely examine its overall impact (Meredith, Mantel Jr & Shafer,
2017). The main focus is all about making decision and understanding the implementing the
required changes.
Progress: The progress of both the two projects that is Perth children hospital and

Initiation of Project: In this strategic decision is required where the complete plan of the
project is stated. In this, each of the project methods needs to be completely defined, analysing
the risk and assurance of overall quality of the project.
Directing of Project: Corporate management is all about directing the given project until
and unless it overseas each of the stages of the project. It merely requires proper execution
planning and approval of every stage for its overall commencement.
Controlling stage: Every stage of project is completely controlled and managed by the
project manager at the instance of taking proper steps. Project manager aims to make review of
the world of packages (Heagney,2016). Along with these, there is need for escalation of
identified issues and risk about the board.
Managing the delivery of project: Both teams of developers and project managers are
mainly responsible for delivery of unplanned products at every stay.
Project closure: This particular step is known to be last step of the project of developing
hospital (Walker, 2015). The complete activity is mainly done by the project manager after the

The competition of the business is known to be as one of the major reason for most of the
project. The project manager needs to take into account risk management, period of project,
budget and changes in the requirement (Verzuh, 2015). It can easily have a direct impact on the
failure of the project. It is very much important to manage the current issues of business process,
which needs to be completely addressed. All the required change in the project are completely
broken down into required changes that are needed for managing and delivery. The most vital
methodology is all about addressing risk identification and understanding the control techniques
(Binder, 2016). The select project methodology needs to come up with a proper kind of budget
control. It needs to come up proper management of dynamic changes in the present environment
of operating business. Prince2 methodology is the most suitable one for the construction project.
The biggest plus point of Prince2 methodology is all about addressing the outcomes very after
the benefits, and the following stage is executed (Lock, 2017). One of the biggest steps of

Lack of BIM skills and capabilities: It is known to be main challenge that is being
identified by the help of interview that is needed by design and architectural staff, supplier and
lastly sub- contractor.
Limitation of Software: At present, there is no kind of single limitation of software that
is completely made available in the current market. The team comes up with development and
purchase of new kind of software which is needed by packages (Joslin & Müller, 2015). It is
mainly needed for achieving all the functionalities which require management and tracking.
Limitation of Hardware: A part of the project team need to update system hardware so
that they can access the model (Hornstein, 2015). The overall capacity of the server is all about
handling of required data, which is a challenging one.
Short Timeframes: The short value of period of the design and development is
completely challenging for the very first six months. It is mainly done for the various kind of
activities that are needed for rework of design document.
Data security and access: It is completely mentioned for the security of data by making
use of cloud computing, which is matter of concern that needs to addressed (Todorović et al.,
2015). It is needed for analysing the overall editing for the given model.
Compatibility: It is known to be an important kind of information produced by the
suppliers along with subcontract, which is compatible with Revit (Cleden, 2017). This particular
aspect as created a rework for consultant and suppliers where are all the information are created
that is needed by software.

Conclusion
The above pages help us in concluding the fact that this report is all about comparison
between Perth children hospital and Queensland children hospital. There are large sub-section
that aims to provide the benefits. It is completely based on the collected data is divided into
various stages like design, construction and lastly design. Expected during the asset management
can result in accurate kind of BIM model that is needed for reducing the walks. The point can be
noted that the model will ultimately provide an easy and quick kind of access to information like
maintaining schedule. For the Perth children hospital, the first stage contract package is mainly
inclusive of beginning set- out of walls and service tunnel. Major of efforts have ultimately
resulted in contract of North structure and package for the entire project. As a result of the nature
and size of the project, the workforce is completely peaked, and the distribution is done one
given end of the project to another. The hospital is mainly inclusive of significant amount of
increase in the outpatient and day-day capacity of stay, family and facilities. Integrated research
and facility of education are mainly needed for high risk for patient and much greater efficiency
of the hospital. The design elements used in these project comes up with much more elements
and help in communication with the help of visualization based tools. This particular aspect
results in much better decision making and output of given tools from various stakeholders. This
particular aspect helps in much more demonstration of line of sight based on insight of 2D. This
particular aspect helps in sign-off of individual space by user.
