The procedure of expert validation of questionnaire content is as follows -
Step 1: Establish Face Validity – The questionnaire will be reviewed by the practitioner as well
as the academician (Validating a Survey: What It Means, How to do It, 2021). One of them will
evaluate the questions while the other will ensure that the questionnaire is free of errors.
Step 2: Run a Pilot Test – Next, a pilot test of the questionnaire will be run that will help in
removing any irrelevant questions (Bui and et.al., 2018). The sample size for the pilot test can
vary.
Step 3: Clean Collected Data – The collected data will be laid out a spreadsheet and will be
cleaned and the responses to questions will be double checked.
Step 4: Use Principal Components Analysis (PCA) – PCA is a quantitative method that will be
used for identifying the underlying components that are being measured through the
questionnaire.
Step 5: Check Internal Consistency – It has to made be made sure that the questions in the
questionnaire are valid and based on the aim as well as objectives of the survey.
Step 6: Revise Survey – This is the final stage of expert validation and the survey will be
revised based on the information that has been collected by the questionnaire (Colson and
Cooke, 2018).
