Different components of a radio system are power, oscillator, modulator, amplifier
and antenna at the transmitter end (Mishra & Alexander, 2018). On the receiver end the
components are antenna, tuner, detector and audio amplifier.
Different types of Mixers are (Algumaei, et. al, 2017):
Switching mixer- It is used to mix two input signals to produce the output. It focuses
on obtaining a result which has high linearity, no noise and has a good response in
terms of polarity switching.
Analog Mixer- It is required to produce an analog output using some input signals,
thus analog mixer mixes two signals and produces an output in analogy to emphasise
the digital operation (Shirai, 2017).

Diode Ring Mixer- It was basically used to implement high performance and also

frequency mixer. It can be either used to modulate the signal or to demodulate. It
basically has three ports one is local oscillator input and other is radio frequency (RF)
input which in turn produces an intermediate output with the desired frequency.
