Question 1
As a radiology supervisor, my responsibilities include but not limited to providing
radiology services by coordinating and directing the services of diagnostic imaging procedures
and radiology, overseeing the staff operating imaging equipment like x-ay machines. I also
ensure that I meet the financial standards of radiology through provision of the annual
information on budget. Lastly, supports tolerant consideration by settling radiology issues with
doctors, radiologists, radiology technologists, and subordinate staff; improving and keeping up
quality confirmation program for office capacities. Interestingly, I have been able to set a record
of being the first radiology supervisor since the inception of the health facility to constantly carry
out a smooth running of activities, maintenance of equipment and the overall resource budgeting.
For this reason, I was promoted as a senior radiologist; with my basic salary increasing by 30%
As a group leader for the dissertation during my master study, I was responsible for
Building up an environment the group would use to arrive at its objectives in research, giving
any preparation that colleagues needed, conveying clear directions to colleagues, tuning in to
colleagues' criticism and being there for colleagues to ensure that we were all in the same page
and to check whether it was necessary to explain further information regarding the topic of
research. One of the achievement was that I was among the top three group leaders to effectively
lead and conduct our research. We met all the requirement according to the course outline. This
was one of the positions that gave me the confidence of becoming a career leader in my
profession.

QUESTIONS 3
One of the biggest challenge that I faced as a radiology supervisor was handling
individuals (both the clients/patients and the staff). In attempting to ensure that there was a
smooth running of the activities in radiology department, it would continually cause havoc and
clashes among the staff. As a result, there would arise murmuring and side talks among the staff
but as a leader, I would do what I was required to do to ensure sanity in radiology department.
This however, does not mean that I would overlook the concerns of the junior staff; I would
listen, understand and act according to my job description. Additionally, this would not in any
way prevent collaboration between me and them. In fact, the clashes or the conflict would
eventually make us solve issues in an ethical manner and come up with a strong built team. I
realized that sometimes, conflict is healthy in organisations or departments we serve but only if
the conflict is positive. Positive conflict is necessary so that lessons can be learnt and the
activities run with more vibrant and empowered individuals. To top it up, positive conflict would
constantly show the true colors of individuals so that as you work together you understand the
other person
Regarding the patients/clients, the unpredictability of these systems, including the
utilization of high-ready prescriptions and the danger of correspondence disappointments during
handoffs, may add to restorative mistakes. The danger of mistake is particularly clear in heart
catheterization and endoscopy research facilities, radiology, and other imaging settings where
social insurance experts may regulate drugs, for example, differentiate media, alter paces of IV
liquids, and flush IV get to lines. Nevertheless, it was important that as the supervisor I would
constantly for health education of the individuals. In most cases, I would receive cases where
patients are oblivious and that they are afraid with some of the radiological methodology because

of the rumors they hear. I realized that it was important for the patients to be given adequate
knowledge on radiology and radiological experiments and procedures.
