INTRODUCTION
This report underlines the meaning and definition of human resource management as the most
essential part of the organization. It includes the hospitality sector having the midscale of hotel
properties. The HR management trainee chooses "Radisson Hotel Group” and will study about
the hotel with its important information (Ims and Grønhaug, 2018). The Radisson Hotel Group is
an American multinational group. It was started by Carlson Companies and founded in 1962
and merge with Carlson & Rezidor hotel groups in 2012. As of 2019, the company operates 8
hotel chains such as Radisson, Radisson Blu, Prizeotel, Radisson Collection, Park Inn by
Radisson, Radisson Red, Park Plaza and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson (Ims and Grønhaug,
2018).
This report includes the importance of human resource management by analyzing its roles and
responsibilities by highlighting its purpose in the Radisson Hotel Group. The human resource
management is the process of planning and managing the resource of the organization.This
report laid emphasis on the development of the human resource plan based on the analysis of
the demand and supply of the organization. It will investigate the current state of the
relationship of employees in the service sector and will also identify the laws that affect human
resource management.
This will also explain the process of selection and recruitment by discussing the job description
and person specification for the required and offered job within the organization and will
compare the process of selection of Radisson Hotel Group with other industries. This report will
also include the development of the techniques and concepts needed in the training and
development activity of candidates for effective operations of Radisson Hotel Group.

GROUP
Radisson Hotel Group has succeeded in the chain of the hotel all over the world. This report is
prepared by the HR management trainee of the Radisson Hotel Group to understand the
purpose of human resource management and also preparing a plan for the analysis of the
business.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
According to Noe (2017), Human resource management is the strategic approach of managing
people effectively for the organization for helping the business in gaining competitive
advantage. Human resource is concerned with the employee’s performance to gain strategic
objectives and also concerned with the management of the employees by focusing on the
policies and rules of the organization (Noe, 2017). The HR department is responsible for the
employee’s recruitment, employee’s benefits, training and development, rewarding and
performance appraisal by emphasizing on the business laws.
PURPOSE OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
The overall purpose of human resource management is to achieve the objectives of the
organization by the help of employees by focusing on the policy and procedures of the
organization (Noe, 2017). The procedure of HRM includes the induction, hiring, payoff, training
and development, employee relations etc.

According to Bratton et al, the Harvard model of HRM give emphasis on the soft HRM approach
and develops the employee assurance for the business and identifies the employees as the
main shareholder of the organization. The policy of Human resource must deliver good
consequences to the organization for the development of strategies. The HR team of Radisson
Hotel Group gets influenced by the interest of the staffs and cause of the other factors (Bratton
and Gold, 2017).

This is the process of selecting the best candidate for the vacant place within the organization.
The major role of the HR manager at Radisson Hotel Group is to appoint the talented and

BUSINESS
The new employment at Radisson Hotel Group for the manpower gets impacted by the demand
of the hotels.
HR PLANNING
According to Kispal-Vitai and Wood (2018), the key purpose of HR planning is to meet the needs
of the organization and reducing the turnover effect on employees. This includes the study of
the demand from HR which based on the number of the current employees and the future
demand for the staff. This also includes the understanding of the gaps for the need of the
organization in future (Kispal-Vitai and Wood, 2018).
HR plan is prepared by HR management trainee for Radisson Hotel Groups which will provide
the correct estimation of the demand and supply of the staff turnover and labour.
Analysis of the goal
The main role of HR is to assist the members in achieving organizational goals and objectives.
The main of Radisson Hotel Group is to affiliated culture and talent management strategy for
maintaining the demand and supply of the employees to meet their accessibility (Guest, 2017).
This also includes the employees must be available for attaining the cultural and talent

This is important to analyze the present staff for the estimated need for manpower in the
future to the organization. The role of HR is to take care of the employees and check the
number of staff with proper planning to maintain the demand and supply of staff in the
organization.
