INTRODUCTION
This study is going to show different types of parents and their nature regarding their
children study and education. Some parents have strict rules by which they try to control their
children as they think that only education can increase their skills and knowledge rather taking
participation in other activities (White and et.al., 2016). On the other hand, some and western
parents believe that by giving full freedom to their children they can support them in enhancing
their lifestyle and knowledge of all fields. Whereas, in other cases some parents think about their
only child that they feel lonely because they do not have siblings for playing so their parents
fulfil their all demands. This thinking creates several problems for them.
Part 1
Thesis statement and argumentative thesis
Raising a child with strict rules: This type is called authoritarian parenting who do not
allow their child to get involve in problem solving process. They only want that their child focus
on study and learning something via books. They even do not take their child needs into
consideration
As per the Gouveia and et.al., (2016) raising a child with strict rules and regulations are
less likely to learn something new with their potential. If they do not have interest in learning
something for a particular field even after they work for them only because of strict rules. These
type of parents do not allow their children to take participate in activities like playing games,
TV, playing musical instruments etc. Children do not have interest and the result is they get A
grade but by not learning as by rotting. This behaviour and style of educating their child
indicates that they think that only book knowledge can help heir children out in growing and
learning something. As compare to raise them with leniently is less effective.
On the other hand, Friedson, (2016) it can be said that strict rules and regulations plays
an important role as children can identify difference between the right and wrong behaviour. It
develops sacraments in them, they become more gentle with others and also become discipline
child. They also know that the importance of education and also believes that whatever their
parents say to them will always be right. Child wants to play with their friends, and participate
in other activities as it makes them happy and fresh. Only reading books and getting knowledge

via books only can create several problems for them. It can decrease their self-esteem and also
make them distressed when they see other children playing. So, from these arguments and thesis
statement it can be said that other activities except reading books plays an important role in
enhancing life style (Raising children with rules or authoritarian parenting, 2019).
Raising a child with full freedom: It can be linked with Tiger mother which shows that
western parents believe that any type of stress is bad for their child whether it is related to their
education. They believe that anything involving studying and education can be fun and
interesting only when an individual or children is good in it. If a child has not interest in
education and studying more than there is no need to pressurize them. It is called permissive
type of parenting.
As per the Barton and Hirsch, (2016) it is stated that permissive parents are more lenient
than authoritarian parenting as they allow freedom to their children and appraise if they come up
with grade A. They appraise their children if they do not stood up for first. Western parents as
compare to Chinese parents think that their children are the best. They try out to get positive
things in them. On the other hand, Chinese parents do not appraise their child at all if they do
not stand first in the class. Chinese parents also wants their children to follow their all rules and
guidelines because they think for their well-being. From this statement and argument it is stated
that, western parents or permissive parents are more than efficient than Chinese parents
(Benefits of Western parents, 2015).
On the other hand, Ma, (2018) stated several benefits of having nature as like Chinese
parents towards their child for their education and other things. Chinese kids have 2 main
advantage such as: parents focus on efforts not innate ability. Parents and peers support to their
child when they work hard at school. As compare to Western parents it has been said by Chua
That western parent worry about self-esteem of their children and Chinese parents do not. In
addition, for supporting Chinese parents for raising their child, it is stated that they believe that
their kids owe them everything, and therefore work hard their whole lives to repay their debt to
their parents (Chinese Parenting, 2019). They are more creative than Western children because
they mainly focus on improving their skills and knowledge and also get support of their peers
and parents. So, from the above argument and discussion it can be said that both types play an
important role but need to apply according to the situation.

Raising an only or single child: There is a contradiction and difference between behaviours in
parents who have an only child with who have multiple siblings.
As compare to having siblings, it can be said that for parents who have an only child that
they think that their child is lonely and for not making them feel lonely they satisfy and fulfil all
needs and demands. Initially it looks good but gradually, children become addicted of this. They
demand of new and expensive things which create several problems for their parents. By
comparing with parents and child who have multiple siblings are more happy because they have
someone with whom they can play, talk and share their feelings. There is a huge difference
between parents who have single child and parents who have 2 or more then 2 children. Raising
of their children also differ. Lonely child also make imaginary friends. Parents do not allow
them to go out due to having an only due to this, child face problem in interacting with other.
So, this argument shows that parents and children having multiple siblings are more likely to
enjoy their life and enhancing life style (Berkowitz and Graziano, 2017).
On the other hand, Doidge and et.al., (2017) stated that there are several benefits of not
having siblings as parents do not discriminate their children due to having an only child. It
increases child morale. Whereas, parents having 2 or more child, make differentiate between
their children in some points which demotivate them. Discriminated child are more likely to do
those activities which are not good for them. So, there is a requirement for parents with multiple
children to create equilibrium. Age gap between children also create problems as different age
group of child have different needs which need to be satisfied. Satisfying needs of all children
cannot be possible for parents.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarized that raising a child played a vital role as
parents need to change their behaviour accordingly. All types of behaviours of parents like strict
parents, western parents and parents who have the only child follow different rules and
behaviours for raising their child for becoming competitive. They only needs to change their
behaviour as per the situation. Different situations and thesis have several positive and negative
impacts on their child learning behaviours. Following each behaviour for the long run do not
give positive impacts.
