HRES 2303 Occupational Health and Safety
Introduction
Occupational health and safety is an event under which employer and employee contributed
together to control hazards and inappropriate events (Frumkin, 2016, p. 50). It is essential for
managers of a company to understand such hazards event correctly and launch proper steps in
favour of employees. I have to undertake the significant OH&S events in the Royal Bank of
Canada to minimize the psychosocial hazard. I am working as an HR manager in RBC
where employees are facing severe problem due to a heavy workload. An employee has
become frustrated and punched one of a client. This situation has arisen due to a heavy workload.
Royal Bank of Canada is a banking unit and provides financial support to clients for managing
their business and other activities properly. The company is less focus on the health and safety of
the employee. This weak culture about health and safety reduces the ability of employees to
perform well and leave jobs in the first duration. Thus, a strong health culture is required at the
Royal Bank of Canada.
Hazard
A possible source of the event which defines danger for life is called a risk. It is identified as
an issue or problem which needs critical and suitable steps to control (Kleinman, et. al., 2016, p.
60). Different sorts of hazards are identified by me while working as HR manager of the Royal
Bank of Canada:
The physical danger which leads to taking place due to human intervention
