Learning study skills in higher education help individual to get success in life in order to get best
employment or outcomes in future. It also increase their competence, confidence and self-esteem
in order to conduct their future performance in effective manner. In their higher education, its
participate in various activities that helps them to learn various skills in order to become most
effective for their future. These skills reduce their anxiety about deadlines and tests as well as

and Hurmuzan, 2018). These skills are important for every student because it helps students to

improve their organised skills in effective manner. Reading skills is one of the most effective

individual to create the habit of reading in their behaviour. It depend upon the skills of the
individual which technique they have used to develop these habits. These habits enables the
person to gain special recognition from the society and also to become able to deal with different

Scanning
It is one of the most important technique which is used by many people to develop
effective reading skills in their behaviour. Under this technique the individual is required to
locate the precise information. It is essential for the individual to read different types of books
and journal which helps the individual to understand the topic in precise manner. It is essential
for the individual to find the key words from the matter and analysed that what is the use of that

It will help students in setting their criteria and marking essential point in their course life in their

teachers to follow their scheduling by which they can easily manage their task and activities.

discusses about the place of the central thought of idea in the centre of the page and then by
