INTRODUCTION
Skills for study help the student for learning in order to get succeed in the life also it
helps to increase the competence, confidence and self-esteem with the help of all these positive
factors it reduces the anxiety about deadlines and test (Ahmed Okasha, 2020). There are different
types of skills an individual has but at some point of time it needs to develop other skills as well.
The main type of reading techniques are such as scanning, intensive, skimming and extensive.
Skimming reading technique is help to grasp the main idea of the topic by focusing on readings
the last paragraph and then checking for any dark headings. However, this technique is useful in
order to complete the goal for preview the text for getting the better idea in order to prepare the
deeper learning.
MAIN BODY
There are different reading techniques used by the individual in order to stay focused and
retaining more information but it needs time and efforts to develop the skills. Active reader
always focusses on reading and create their own ideas of learnings the topic (Reading
techniques, 2021). Here are some active reading techniques which are shown in the given article
such as to identify new words, this is most important habit because being a reader everyone did
the same mistake such ass skip the hard word and read accordingly but at the same time this bad
habit can affect the learning pattern and it will not develop the idea of learning news words
(Ardhian, Ummah and Rachmadtullah, 2020). Always taking the new words as the challenge and
search about it with the help of google, glossary, dictionary etc. Then found the real meaning of
word and link with the sentence this habit will improve the learning pattern and help to build
good learning practices. To read with the pencil is also important habit fort the student because
whenever student find the typical word or sentences they can underline it and then ask teacher or
googles so that they can get proper meanings of the sentence or word (Types of reading skills,
2021). Also, it helps to write the meaning of typical word above it so that for the next time the
word will highlight through the paragraph. Also, student can use highlighters for highlighting the
words that they will search later, or they found it typical. Draw and sketch is also a good habit
that help for the visuals learning orders to create their own thought and remembered the
information. Student cans uses Vann diagrams, map, chart sketch etc. for remembering the
information (Lu, Yan and Gu, 2018). This is most important habit which help the all the whether
they read about management or nursing this technique will help to make the difference between

remembering retain or retaining the information. Further, making shrinking outline are known
as the important tool because it helps to reinforcing the information in the class room. Ins the
basis of this technique student can write their own explanation so that next time whenever they
read again they will remember the explanation. Also, this is the most effective technique that can
be used by the learners in the thesis it helps to develop the knowledge and ideas about creating
good habit of writing.
Reading improves cognitive ability and memory, I analysed that my reading habit is
change according to the time and it is important to adopt good habit of active reading because
learning never ends. I realized that my own habit of reading was not good earlier because I was
makings excuses and not investing much time in it (Rashid and Islam, 2019). Also, I only read
those material which are easy and that is why I did not able to learn new word and skip all
typical word that is why I still work on this in order to improve my reading habit also on the
other earlier I was thinking it will improve according to the time but now I am working on
change the reading habit with the help of reading novel and journal (Hui, Junbiao, and Zhouqing,
2020). Also, another reading technique I have adopted is reading with pencil this is important
habit that can be adopted by student to mark typical word with pencil and search later in order to
understand the meaning of word. Further, I start come up with the question and ask teachers in
college so that it help to expand my knowledge. To set the daily goals is help to work on the
difficulties and robust the vocabulary as well. Also, vocabulary help to influencing ins order to
readings comprehension. It can be help for increasing the ability of makings assumption as well
as ideas that are generally betters for understanding the text much better. (Takings) notes while
readings or in class also help me when I was in college and I again read the notes at home so that
its help to enhances my knowledge for the particular topic as well as its helps to learn at the time
of exam so that it helps me to remember everything with the help of notes (Turker and
Hartwigsen, 2022).
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded that higher skill is help the personality of the individual in order to
building confidence, increase knowledge. Also, there are different reading habits are followed by
the learner but it is important to learn those skills which are help in near future. Some of the
reading techniques are identified such as reading with pencil, highlighting important words,
search with the dictionary etc. Further, explained the reading habit which I have used in my

education also some of the reading techniques I have adopted in order to improve my reading
habit.
