Executive Summary
The report is based on the management of human resources in Aldo group. The HR
department plays major role in the organization as they are responsible to hire the appropriate
human resources with desire skills and abilities. The issues and challenges faced by company in
managing its human resources and the corrective steps which company can take in order to
improve its relations with its employees. All organizations should follow the employment laws in
order to carry its operations in ethical manner and to motivate its employees which helps in
retaining skilled and efficient human resource.
INTRODUCTIONS
Recruitment is define as the process where human resource department identifies the
potential applicants for the job role Ekwoaba, J. O., Ikeije and Ufoma, (2015). Selection is
define as the process in which among the shortlisted candidates the most suitable candidate is
been hired by the company. Basically recruitment and selection is the primary function of
management where they identify the need for job and select the most efficient person for the job
role. This report is based on Aldo group. The company was founded by Aldo Bensadoun in year
1972. The company is dealing in shoes and accessories across the globe and its headquarters are
in Montreal, Canada. The topics covered in the report are human resource issues or challenges.
The legal consideration or employment legislations followed by the company.
MAIN BODY
Company Situation
The company has established its brand name in marketplace and provide latest footwear
and accessories to its customers. They are targeting both men and women. Company offer best
quality products at high prices that is focusing on high income group people. The marketing
strategy of company is to provide on-trend style with high quality to its targeted audience.
Company is running its business across the globe with more than 1500 stores. Moreover they are
expending their business with the help of franchising. With the help of various promotional tools
company is engaging customers and providing information to them about its new collection. The
key stakeholders of the company are divided into two types that is internal and external
stakeholders Holm, and Haahr, (2019). The internal stakeholder comprises of associates,
company leaders and franchise partners. Whereas external stakeholders comprises of customers,
media & NGOS and sourcing partners. There are various external and internal factors which
effect the performance and operations in the business. They are explained below-

Strengths- The global presence of company is one of the major strength which helps in
reaching to target market and customers. The wide range of products has lead to
expansion of customer base.
Weaknesses- The waste management of company is improper and poor which affect its
business. Moreover the inventory management of company is poor due to which they
face difficulty and suffer loss.
Opportunities- The company has great growth opportunity and is able to attract new
potential customer by providing quality products. Moreover the use of new technology
has helped in making its products more innovative and styles.
Threats- The changing policies and implementation of strict laws act as a major threat
for company as it will affect its growth and development. Moreover the company is
facing high level of competition in marketplace Slavić, Bjekić and Berber, (2017).

In context of Aldo group there are various issues and challenges faced by company in
managing its human resource. Some issues and challenges are describe below-
Compliance with Laws and Regulation- It’s becomes quite difficult for company to
meet up with changing employment laws. These changes affect the operations and business and
the leaders and management need to create new strategies and policies according to new
additions and changes in the employment law Aravamudhan and Krishnaveni, (2015)
Management changes- Aldo group is a large scale company and is growing fast due to
which its strategies, structure and the procedures changes. The employees find it difficult to meet
up with the changes which result in low productivity and decreases the morale of employees.
Training and development- One of the major problem of HR department is to train and
develop the skills of new and low performing employees. Moreover company need to invest
huge amount on the training of employees which is time consuming method and don’t have
surety that employees will performance better.
Adapting to Innovation- With the advancement in the technology the operation
techniques and methods constantly changes. The employees need to be quick to adapt themselves
to these changes.
Legal considerations or employment legislations followed by organization
Employment Right Act 1996- Aldo group focus on the right of employees and provide
them safe and healthy working environment. Company mention all the factors in its employment
contract regarding leavings and other privileges.

Equality Act 2010- The company treat its employees fairly that is provide equal
opportunities to them for their growth and development. They do not discriminate employees on
the bases of gender, religion, age, etc.

customer base. So it becomes for company to take proper measures to protect the information of

Management changes- The management of Aldo should focus on establishing effective
communication with its employees in order make them aware with the changes.
Training and development- The company should focus on establishing strong
and positive relation with its employees so that the senior leaders can guide their subordinate
employees. Moreover this strategy save the time and cost of company Alonso, (2015).
Advantages, disadvantages, cost and benefit of alternative.

Advantages- Helps in retaining skilled and efficient employees in the organization.
Moreover helps company in carrying its operations in ethical manner.
Disadvantages- Company need to provide salary to employees in the situation where

Cost- The company has to bear the cost of maintaining laws and regulations related to

Benefit- The benefit of following all the rules and regulation in the operations of business
protect the company from lawsuits.
Management changes
Advantages- It helps the company by providing competitive advantage and perform
better than competitors. Moreover it helps in developing new skills and products
which drive grate profit to business.
Disadvantages- The employees didn’t able to cope up with the changes due to which
they leave the organization. Hence, lead to loss of valuable assets.

to change its existing techniques and tools according to market trends.
Benefit- The company get its benefit in long run as it would be able to provide better
products and services to its potential customer and can accrue large share in
marketplace.
Training and development
Advantages- It will provide benefit to company as it will increase the morale and
job satisfaction of employees. The company would be able to retain its skilled and
capable employees.
Disadvantages- The disadvantage is that it is a time consuming process and if
employees didn’t able to cope up with the new methods and techniques they
prefer to leave the organization.
Cost- The cost involve in training and development is quite high and company
need to invest its huge amount in this process.
Benefit- The company will get benefit from this method as it will helped in make
its employees more skilled and enhance their performance. Thus help in

The human resources are the most important and valuable part of the organization. From
the above study it is recommended For Aldo group to focus on proper allocation of human
resources and to provide health workplace environments to its employees. The management and
the HR department should focus on providing extraordinary opportunities to its employees for
their growth and development. They must focus on retaining its skilled and efficient employees
as training new employees is a time consuming and costly process. They should be open with its
employees that is focus on establishing effective communication where employees feel free to
put their viewpoints and provide suggestions for company’s growth.

From the above study it has been concluded that recruitment and selection process play
important role in the organization. The employees are the most valuable asset of the company
and should focus on their development. Proper training should be provided to human resources
in order to make them more skilled and efficient. The appropriate strategies and techniques helps
in increasing the productivity and provide desire results to the company. Effective
communication helps in building strong and positive relation with employees and reduces the
changes of conflict and misunderstanding. The HR department is responsible for hiring skilled
