game “Synthspace” last year, which is still grossing over 4 million daily active players, has
motivated us to push our limits beyond our levels of comfort.
Position - Environment Designer
Reports To
The Environment Designer will report directly to the Senior Project Manager.
Job Overview
As an environment designer, your task entails the creation of a surreal environment within a
perceptible realistic domain so that the players can feel the supernatural aura while still
existing virtually in a realistic interactive environment. As a part of the job, the creation of
the environment also requires the design to be Playable Character compatible. Thus, the
design should collaborate with the entity and character development to ensure seamless
interaction between the player and the environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Following are the responsibilities and duties that you as an environment designer are

Create vivid, surreal and interactive environment for the current project and any
upcoming future projects.

maintained.
Collaborate with other members of other departments and ensure that the developed
environment is compatible with the UI, HUD and the playable characters.

Oversee the development of a player usable SDK (Software Development Kit) for adding
Mods.
Ensure perfection through repeated testing and re-testing before deploying the final open
beta.
Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply for this post, you should have
A bachelor’s degree in computer science from a relevant university or college
Strong knowledge of the programming languages – Python, C++, javascript, HTML5,
CSS and extensions of C, preferably Rust.
Advanced level proficiency in the use of graphic designing and editing software,
especially Photoshop, lightroom and illustrator, along with premiere pro.
At least two years of experience in any (or all) of the following – game development,
Software backend development, graphic design and VFX and at least five years of coding
history.

Eligible candidates will be called for two sets of interview and a practical skill demonstration.

Employee contract
The following is an employee contract that will be appropriately filled and provided to the
selected candidates (Employment contract template, 2019):
This Employment Contract states the terms and conditions that govern the contractual
agreement between Aperture Game Studios, (the “Company”), and [Employee name] (the
“Employee”) who agrees to be bound by this Contract.
Considering the mutual understanding and promises made by the parties, both the company
and the employee agree to the following:
TERM
This Employment Contract shall begin on [START DATE] (the “Start Date”). The Employee
agrees and acknowledges that, just as they have the right to terminate their employment with
the Company at any time for any reason, the Company has the same right, and may terminate
their employment of the employee at any time for any reason. In case of termination, a
written letter will be provided to the party concerned (Employment contract template, 2019).
DUTIES
The Company will employ (NAME) as Environment Designer (the “Position”). The

COMPENSATION
In consideration for the performance of the duties hereunder, the Employee shall be entitled
to compensation as described on Exhibit B attached hereto (Employment contract template,

CONFIDENTIALITY
The Employee shall not disclose to any third party any details regarding the business of the
Company, including, without limitation the names of any of its customers, the prices it
obtains, the prices at which it sells products, its manner of operation, its plans, its strategies,
any of the Company’s trade secrets or any other information pertaining to the business of the
Company (the “Confidential Information”), (ii) make copies of any Confidential Information
or any content based on the concepts contained within the Confidential Information for
personal use or for distribution unless requested to do so by the Client, or (iii) use
Confidential Information other than solely for the benefit of the Client (Employment contract
template, 2019).
RETURN OF PROPERTY
Within Seven (7) days of the termination of this Contract, whether by expiration or otherwise,
the Employee agrees to return to the Company, all products, samples, or models, and all
documents, retaining no copies or notes, relating to the Company’s business including, but
not limited to, [LIST OF ITEMS] obtained by the Employee during its representation of the
Company (Employment contract template, 2019).
EXPENSES
The Employee shall not be entitled to reimbursement for any expenses except those that have
been previously approved in writing by the Company. Should the Company require travel by

EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
