Introduction
Skills and knowledge plays an important role in personal as well as professional growth.
In this, student need to learn many skills which can help them to use those skill in their
future and the time when there is necessary to use them either for their personal use or in
there professional life. Aim of this report is to understand the theory which is used in the
recruitment and selection process. In context to this, chosen company is “Geneme
departmental store”, which is a middle sized enterprise and having their many stores in
Northallerton city where there selling of many products like toys, housewares, clothing,
toiletries, sporting goods and many more. There are 200 employee in their company and
having the functional structure (Gupta, 2018).

Main body
Recruitment is the process of hiring the right person for vacancy. In this there are
different stages like propping for ideal candidate, sourcing and attracting talent,
converting applicants, selecting and screening candidates, interview process,
reference checking and on-boarding is there.

 Selection process refers to the process in which there is selection and short-listing of
right candidate is there who is best for the that vacant place. There are different
selection process is there like interviews, ability and aptitude test, personality and
profiling, presentation, group exercise etc. which are there for choosing the best one
for that position.

From above discussion, it can be concluded that there are different steps for the
selection and recruitment process which are there performed by the human
resources manager in relation to recruit the best man for the required job. In this,
