Executive summary
Main purpose of preparing this report is to identify the role of equality at workplace of an
organisation. One of the main roles of equality in the workplace as it helps an organisation in
reduction of high employee’s turnover. In order to achieve this purpose, different activities have
been completed by researcher. Under research methodology, researcher used questionnaire,
quantitative research, probability sampling etc. These are effective methods that supported
researcher in researching and finding of valid outputs. Along with this, numbers of secondary
sources were used by researcher for literature review in collection detailed information about the
equality and its importance at workplace. At last, conclusion and recommendation have been
done for explaining entire summary of the report.
Introduction
Equality at workplace is introduce as fair treatment of people apart from of their disability,
religion, gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality or age. Equality is important for all
organisations in development of its growth and success (Colton, Edenfield and Holmes, 2019).
ASDA is a chosen workplace and organisation for this report. It is a supermarket retailer that was
founded by Peter and Fred Asquith in 1949. Company specialise in providing of grocery, general
merchandise, financial services etc. to the customers. In this organisation, high employee
turnover is major issue which have negative effect over business performance and goodwill. In
order to reduce this impact, company try to develop equality in the workplace. As this will be
beneficial for ASDA in attainment of its long term goals and objectives easily.
