Title: Along with the successful launch of Reebok Reflex shoe in UK, the product will now
launch in overseas market of Asia
Introduction
Project management is considered as the stage to attain the task within a timeframe, which will
help the company for attaining task with limited budget with money, resources and time. From
the project scenario, it is asked by project manager of Reebok to successfully launch the product
in overseas market of Asia (Mustaro and Rossi, 2013). Now, as the Reebok Reflex shoe has been
successful in UK in the last month, it wants now to have good presence in Asian market as well.
The project manager wants to launch Reebok Reflex Shoe in parts of India, Malaysia and Korea
in May 2019. The project will be completed by devising a PM plan with the help of Gantt chart
and WBS, along with a small-scale research, which will consist of both surveys and interviews
(Gareis et al. 2013). At last, the project will be supported by recommendations, which will
reflect on the success of the project performance.
a. Establish clear aim and objectives for the project
Project Aim: The aim of the project is to launch the Reebok Reflex Shoe in Asian market, after it
has found successful launch in UK. The launch will take place in period of May 3rd to July 2nd in
major countries of Asia. It is important that the project manager assisted for the project will look
for initiating the product sustainability, so that big number of sales can be attained by promoting
it.

attracted to purchase the product

For executing the project, the project manager assisted for the away product launch by the CEO
of Reebok needs to look into the aspect of cost, time, scope, quality and resources of the project
(Siami-Irdemoosa et al. 2015). For identifying the launch, the project will be initiated in four
steps, which includes the Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Launch and Performance
Control and Project Closure.
Project Cost
For executing the launch of the project, the project manager has to account on some key areas
that will work crucial in determining project success (Ingason, 2015). For that, the project
manager needs to first estimate, an approximate area for which the project launch will be
completed.

As the project is being developed for the globalised product launch, the scope of the project is
that just as the Product has attained good presence in the UK market; it should also find good
presence in overseas market. By the side, the product launch should develop good presence with
the target audience in Asian market with use of effective promotion (Andersen, 2016).
Project Time
The time anticipated for the Product launch will be done in 27 days time, because launching in
several cities in the overseas countries, along with doing surveys and interviews will also take
time. The time is estimated by calculating three destinations of Asia that are India, Malaysia and
Korea, on PR campaign will be done in big cities of these countries (Rowe, 2015). Thus, the
launch will take place from 3rd of May and it will last until 2nd of July 2019.
Project Quality
To analyse the quality of the project, it is evident that the Project manager appointed by CEO of
Reebok should first analyse, if the project is doing well or not. It goes to see that with the help of
continuous improvement, the project manager and his assisted team for the Product launch must
make a good review for their overseas launch target (Blomquist et al. 2010). However, it is that
phase where effective quality should be instigated on performing good quality control of the
project.
Project Risk
For estimating the project risk, it is important to analyse the risk while undertaking the project. In
that case, the risk could be the time and budget, which may not be appropriate enough, since it is
projected as per the estimation (Papke-Shields and Boyer-Wright, 2017). It could be identified
that the possible risk factor could be in terms of budget, which is £49700 that may increase or
decrease while the time was also exceed to 3 months or more.
Project resources/deliverables
To identify the deliverables of the project, the project manager should consider few pieces of the
product to be shown in PR campaign, phone bills, laptops, internet, equipments, use of banners
and leaflets, etc (Wysocki, 2011). Thus, these need to be delivered, in order to find good
response from the project aim and objectives intended at first.

This is a critical part since the project manager of Reebok assisted by CEO should communicate
with the audience and team members effectively. The project manager should look on a certain
strategy, which could communicate with the stakeholders being involved (Cobb, 2011). For
being the part of a large MNC, communication should be made without putting any type of
negotiating agreements.

To conduct proper research, the association of primary data collection is needed. It would be
acquired that use of surveys and interviews are needed (Fewings, 2013). This is a stage where

Research approach comprise of 2 types. Inductive and Deductive approach. The project manager
will use the deductive approach, as it applies undertaking the survey research by linking it with
the objectives of the research by looking at the project management steps. Inductive approach in
case would be applied in case of interviews, which would be applied for the research to subject
on the research objectives with open-ended questions (Punch, 2013).
Research Design
Descriptive design is a numerical method that includes describing and observing behaviour of
the subject, without making a large influence of it. The use of descriptive design is effective to
conduct surveys and interviews since the result will form definite answer, without disproving the
research question (Ormston et al. 2014). In case, if the limitations are understood, it could still
work as an effective tool to analyse predictive response to test the research quantitatively.
Research Method
For this research, the use of both quantitative and qualitative research would be used. The project
manager will use the qualitative research, since it is multi-method and tends to focus on subject
matter to interpret phenomena in terms of meanings (Kisely and Kendall, 2011). The use of
semi-structured interview will be used, as it aims to understand the ongoing social reality of
cultures, and groups. In case of the quantitative research, the data would be gathered in
numerical form that could be put into the rank order with units of measurements (Mertens,
2014). The use of quantitative data in the form of surveys will be carried out in a Likert scale or
the close-ended questions. However, the effective use of the percentage calculations will be
possible to analyse the survey results that would have descriptive characteristics in common.
Sample size
To draw the samples among the respondents from the population, the project manager has taken
15 employees of Reebok from UK, and 2 managers to interpret how successful will the overseas
product launch can be. The employees would be asked 6 questions, mostly close-ended where
use of Survey Monkey would be used. Along this, 2 open-ended questions will be asked to the
managers of Reebok on the estimation of the project research. However, the samples would be
drawn by using random sampling method (Cope, 2014).

Data Analysis
Since the project manager would use descriptive research for estimating the research, the use of
numerical data would be used rather (McCusker and Gunaydin, 2015). The data analysis will be
carried out using the percentage calculations through tables, figures and graphs with association
of MS Excel. In quest, the semi-structured interviews will be carried out using the content
analysis, as it is an effective method to interpret the results made by the managers of Reebok.
