A person or agencies member need to various practices in order to manage referral to
other agencies in effective manner. This is so because it helps them in conducting each and every
work in effective manner which help in providing proper services or facilities to the needy
person or children. Along with this, it will also help in minimizing situation which leads to
illegal activities at referral agencies. Here illegal activities can be related to leak of personal data,
improper treatment and many more. So there are referrals agencies need to consider all the
practices which are consider under the section 11 of the children act 2004 (Mirza and et. al.,
2014) These referrals agencies are based on different situations such as for providing specific
education, at the risk of modern slavery or trafficking, regularly mission from home care,
misusing drugs and alcohol and many more. International, national and local government
develop numbers of procedures as well as policies which is essential for referrals agencies to
follow so that they can provide quality and legal services to children or other persons. Such as
legislations which can be adopted by these agencies are sections 14, 47, 31 and 20 of The
Children Act 1989.
In addition to this these agencies are also need to take care or ensure about the several
factors such as they take care of children and their issues, involve families in decision making,
provide quality and according service, focus on action for child improvement and many more.
For managing referral to another agencies management need to conduct proper documentation of
all the members working at respective place. So that they get ensure that not illegal activity will
be done at place or agency which harm children. In addition to this referral agencies also need to
consider various practices according to which they need to analyze as well as maintain record of
the children so that they can provide them facilities accordingly and effectively. It is also
important because different situation required different type of methods for the treatment. For
example in situation at which child consume alcohol and drugs referral agencies need to provide
them different facilities and services such as therapy, mediation and medicines (Power and

he/ she will get treatment in different way.
