1GALLUP STRENGTH TEST
After taking the test on the Clifton survey to learn about my strength, and attending the coaching
classes, I realised that it was a great way for assessing the strengths as well as the weaknesses.
Viewing the results, I understood the following things about myself:
a. I generally tend to be concerned about those who feel left out and I try, as much as I can to
include them. I learnt that it is called as an “includer”. (Gwinn, et al. 2013)
b. I was found to be an adapter in the test who has the ability of adapting to any situation or
condition. This made me realise why very often I do not found difficulties in dealing with
situations where others easily get pissed off. However, this also revealed the reason of one of my
weaknesses. I could now know why I have struggles in setting goals, as I tend to go with the
flow and adapting to a situation.
C. I also found out that I have a trait for positivity and thus look up to the positive side of any
situation or idea. This helps me in being a developer and creates ideas that can motivate others.
d. I was found that I have strong beliefs for the core themes, that almost lead to the stage of
ideation. Though these values tend to vary according to situation, it has an overall spiritual
binding.
2. I was, however, not expecting to have been possessing the talent of connectedness. I knew that
I had some kind of positivity in me and also an adapting quality that helps me in fitting myself in
any situation. But that did not led me to think that I can connect people well since I never, to be
honest, made an effort of starting up any conversation with who I am not comfortable. Rather, I
connectedness will surprise me. However, as I learnt more, I understood that the connectedness

is more of a collective unconsciousness and not necessarily means interacting with others.
Perhaps this is the reason I am concerned about the left outs and try to include them as much as
possible.
3. While reflecting upon the top talents of mine, I resonated with traits that I learned in the due
course, and believe to posses them. The first one is that of an includer. Being a positive minded
people, I believe to put my thoughts into actions first. Thus, I try to include people who feel left
out. This is a fairly accurate description of how I treat others. This has made me an activator.
However, in this, find a sign of weakness of mine as well. My urge to put my thoughts into
actions often makes me impatient, which, I feel is not a wise thing to do (Sorenson,, 2014).
Another one was the trait of being positive. Since my childhood, I had been a student with
medium calibre. However, I believed in my strengths and could found out the positive aspect of
learning any particular thing.
4. I personally believe that this understanding of my trait will lead me in having a developed
understanding about my characteristics and the proper analysis of my attitude in a professional
level. Since long I had a confusion whether I have a good communication skill to deal in a
professional world since a proper communication is held as one of the major criteria (Burghardt,,
2016). Now that I know that I have a strength of motivating people and can connect with them
through my attitude, if not always through verbal communication, this renders me a great amount
of confidence. Moreover, I now can understand that professional space is not a space for
impulsion and impatience. I cannot always turn my thoughts into actions without chalking out
proper consequences and regulations.

5. On analysing my strengths through the Clifton survey result, I believe, that one of the obstacle
that I will have to face is my strong belief in particular themes. I have a strong affiliation towards
ideation that makes me less flexible at times. I will try to prepare myself in a way so that these
values do not harm any professional attitude of mine.
