Leadership Reflection Report: Analysis of Amazon CEO's Presentation

INTRODUCTION
Self reflection is the process which is targeted to look into a mirror and explaining the
different experience which is being processed by me at the time of conducting the presentation in
the University. This report is based on my experience which was gained by conducting the
presentation in the University which used to possess the summary about the leadership style
which is being processed by the CEO of the Amazon Jeff Bezos. This report's highlights the
reflection on the basis of the Gib's reflection cycle which includes the five different element on
the basis of which my experience has been understand in the better way. Reflection is centred
around six skill set i.e. Communication, research, Use of ICT, team work, time management and
problem solving. Five different characteristic of Gib's reflection cycle is is Description, which
include short briefing about the event. Feeling, in which report explain different feeling which
was there at the time of conducting presentation. Evaluation, explain the summary of different
skill set and limitation which was there in my presentation. Conclusion and Action plan explain
the past performance and on the basis of same future activity which can be performed in the
organization.
MAIN BODY
Description
Me and my team was asked to prepare a presentation in the organization in regards of
leadership which was used by the CEO of the Amazon Jeff Bezos. This was the task which was
asked by the University to be completed in the college. This presentation was completely
individually by me, all the responsibility of carrying out variety of the different type of activity
was solely possessed by me. I was having the responsibility to gather the variety of the data
about the leadership style which is being used by the Jeff Bezos and also interoperate the data in
a way in the presentation that all the individual are able to understand and good sort of the
learning from the variety of the data which has been included in the presentation. In doing the
same I has to use communication skill to communicate finding, Use of different ICT tool to
understand the gather data, team work to gel up all the finding of mine with other, Time
management to get good sort of time to evaluate finding, Problem solving is to find solution of
variety of the issue faced by other and most importantly research skill to find out different data
from different source. There were many different source through which I have taken variety of
the help to carry out the presentation in better way in the organization.

Feeling
There were many different type of the feeling which was possessed by me in the process
of carrying out the presentation for the organization. Starting from the start it can be said that in
the initial stage I was some what nervous in context of carrying out the project for the
organization. Reason behind the same is identified that it was the very first time that I was
carrying out any of the project individual in the University but at the same time I was a bit of
excited as well. As it was the first time I has to use research skill by my own. As I was having
the knowledge that this project will help me in gaining the variety of the knowledge regarding
source and will also help me in getting knowledge about different way to communicate. After
that I started searching for some sort of guidance from the senior in the University, this has
eventually helped me in building good sort of the confidence in regards of carrying out the
variety of the activity of the project and also helped me in giving the confidence that I can work
in the team as well. As I was very much stable in regards of carrying out the variety of the
activity of the project. In the end I started panicking about the outcome of the project as I was
getting difficulty in managing the time and solving the variety of the problem which generally
used to occur in the project but with the help of the senior in the organization I was able to
overcome the variety of the different type of the issue more efficiently and easily.
Evaluation
There were many different type of the skill set which was developed by me in the market,
at the same time there were many different type of the limitation which was also seen by me at
the time of carrying out the project. The biggest plus point was the communication skill of mine
in the market, as it has been identified by me that I was able to build a good sort of the
communication skill of mine, as these project has asked me to communicate with the variety of
the different parties who are interested in the project and also with the help of the variety of the
different type of the communication tool in the University. This has helped me in improving my
communication skill as a whole. Another skill which was develop by me was the research skill of
mine, reason reason behind the same is identified that this presentation has asked me to source
variety of information regarding the Jacob using different sources in the market, these has
eventually helped me to build a good sort of research skill of mine, as I was able to understand
different aspect in regards of good and viable source to collect the different information. There

were two more skill which was developed by me but I used to think that building the first one
has helped me in enhancing the another one as well. As I was able to manage my time
efficiently, also I was able to manage my self equally well in the presentation. This has open up a
good amount of time for me to carry out the variety of the different type of the activity efficiently
and saving good bit of time to understand the variety of the issue which is being faced by me in
the organization and solving the same efficiently as I am having a good sort of the time to come
across the variety of the option and solve the problem very easily in the University. This has
helped me in building good problem solving skill of mine on the basis of time and self
management skill of mine which is possess by me from the initial stage itself.
There were many limitation which was also analysed by me at the time of conducting the
research in the University. The first limitation which was analysed by me was in regards of ICT
tool to carry out the presentation, as it was evaluated by me that I used to get it difficult to
understand variety of the different tool and feature of the tool to use the same in the presentation
to improve the quality of the presentation which has been carried out in the organization.
Another thing which was Evaluated by me was that I am not that good at coordination, as I have
mention this presentation was a individual task but still it has asked me to coordinate with other
who are doing some other part of project. I used to find it easy to communicate with them very
easily in the project but not able to gel up whole work together. For the same reason I have
identified that I am not having that good team work skill of mine.
Conclusions
Conducting the presentation and summarizing the same in small paragraph is really tough
for me as I have learnt variety of the thing and there were many different limitation which was
also seen by me. Thinking about them after completion of the project, it was identified by me
that there were many different ways through which I should have respond to the same. As When
I was getting it difficult to use ICT tool, I would have taken help of my senior in the
organization. Also, I was having the option to observe other using the same tool and on the basis
of the same I was having the option of reacting the same in better way to the problem with my
problem solving skill. Also, I am having the opinion that if I had used only one or two
communication tool instead of using variant of the communication tool in the organization, it
would have help me in building more accurate communication skill. Also, I would have used my
time in better way in the research this would have eventually helped me in improving the quality

of the information sourced with the help of research skill which was possess by me. Also will try
to maintain good sort communication so that team work skill of mine may improve in future.
Action Plan
Looking at the skill which need to be improved in the organization, it has been identified
by me that to improve usage of ICT tool I will taking part in the conference, which will
eventually help me in understanding the different aspect of ICT tool in the organization. As
conference will help me in getting theoretical as well as practical knowledge at the time. For
improving the team working skill of mine, I would have taken help of my listening skill as with
the help of the same I would have got better idea about the different difficulty which is being
faced by the different team member and on the basis of the same we would have carried out
different activity more easily in the University. Other than that the four skill that is
communication and research, time management and problem solving are at positive side but will
look to attend different conference to improve the same in future.

CONCLUSION
After going through the presentation experience it can be easily interoperate that
communication and time management skill of mine is one of the strength of mine, which has
eventually helped me in building another skill set of mine that is the problem solving skill of
mine in the long run. At the same time it has been also identified by me that I was lacking some
sort behind when I comes to coordinate variety of the activity in the organization. Also, I used to
find it difficult to understand the new technology that easily to improve the efficiency of
different operation that easily in the market.
