successfully demonstrate in your Summary and/ or Analysis Paragraphs? What
course outcomes need to be further strengthened? Explain your self-evaluation in
detail.
In other words, comment on your focus/ organization, analysis/ development, style,
grammar/ mechanics, and APA referencing skills. What are your strengths and what
areas need improvement?
TIP:

course outcomes. You can also use the teacher’s feedback on the
assignments as pointers.
Reflective reviews are an important part of self-assessment in a study as it helps an
individual to outline the strengths and weaknesses of the project with a narrow focus. It
strengthens the habit of self-assessment and evaluation. I have been at the completion stage of
the research since I started working on this project, I faced a number of challenges, especially in
my writing style and my research tactics. Before starting working on this project, I researched
about the main theme “Cultural Appropriation” there are different perspective given on this
subject by different researchers, and in my opinion, every researcher has a different perspective
when it comes to determining their viewpoint. Nevertheless, I was keen to outline my viewpoint
on this subject matter. Thus I undertake both positive and negative scenario influencing my
research.
Besides all this, these two assignments helped me to enhance my vocabulary and gave me
an insight into cultural appropriation. These assignments also helped me in enhancing my

knowledge regarding APA referencing and formatting style. But still, I think I need some
improvement in in-text citations and formatting the reference properly because there are a lot of
rules and regulations in APA formatting and I am still working on them so that I can master it
completely. After completing the assignments, I see “Vocabulary enhancement” as my biggest
strength as it will help me a lot in upcoming research work.
2. Reflect on the process of producing these two assignments. What goals have
you set so far in the Improvement Log and how did you meet some of these
goals in one or both of these assignments?
In other words, identify specific reading, writing, research, and critical thinking goals
that you’ve set. Explain to what extent one or both of these works reflect your
improvement of specific skills/ goals.
If you see yourself making improvements, what strategies have you used?
If you do not feel you’ve attained your goals, what do you see yourself doing differently
next time in a similar assignment so that you can achieve your goals?
I am a normal researcher who is keen to write what I think; this has promoted a non-
formal writing style in my papers as per as the remarks of my teacher, I have to work really hard
on changing that approach. Since I started working on this subject, I have to edit, update, and
proofread every sentence to make it more direct and stronger reflecting my opinion on this
subject. I have used a similar approach to create a flow in my paper, I have introduced the
subject, though the issue was to criticize or support any of the researcher (worked on this subject
previously). When I started reading and researching this theme, I was required to select a side to
draft my whole paper. This has increased my time period to complete the paper because I have to
support both positive and negative side throughout the end. However, selecting one side to

conclude the paper was the toughest part. I hope I have done justice with this subject and is
looking forward to setting my perception on the scenario with a clear focus and side.
