Reflection is a crucial activity in terms of justifying the role within the presentation to be
submitted in the class. Reflecting on the performance of the team through the means of
feedbacks, is assistance towards detecting the areas, which needs improvement. Our team
was assigned a project on Shine Laundry Services, who was contacted for the laundry
services in out hostel. Effective customer service of the business is reflected from the
availability of 24X7 services at reasonable prices. In the process, it is ensured that the quality
of the fabric is maintained. We liked this gesture of theirs. We have found that the company’s
operations consists of spinning, washing, stitching, packing, ironing of clothes for the
university students like us. However, we found some of the following challenges:
Absence of the location and other areas
The laundry service providers were of the view that we did not mention about the
locations to which their services are spread. One of the striking issues in this context was not
including all the essential things, which the clients and the customers need to be aware of.
This enhanced our awareness regarding the delivery of content oriented presentation,
including the utility bills, insurance, and Laundromat, budget, website, flyers and business
cards.
Good presentation skills
We thought that our presentation was good, however, the remarks provided by the
laundry service providers states that the presentation was fair, as we failed to engage the
audience through the creation of a string visual impact. This necessitated the need for more
group discussions for overcoming the knowledge gaps.
Ambiguous project purpose
One of the major criticisms by Shine Laundry services was that we were not clear
about the purpose of conducting the project. I do not agree with the claim, as we worked

according to the requirements and instructions of the trainers. After receiving the feedback,
without wasting time, we searched for means, which can suffice the need for improvement. In
the evaluation process, we found the areas, which needs change.
Ineffective research
Accomplishment of more research enriched our information regarding the exposure of
straight forward approach towards conducting a research. From my experience, I can say that
more explicit research enhances my creativity and imagination. In this, taking advice from
the seniors and experts develops cognitive learning within me. Adherence and compliance to
the feedbacks justified my role within the project.
Smart objective and industry overview
Shine Landry Service accused us for not following the SMART objectives while
conducting the project. I agreed with this claim, as we did not consider the measurability. In
case of presenting the overview of the team, competitiveness was missing. However, once we
received the feedback, we started the evaluation process for maintaining the sequence in the
project related activities.
Missing points
Shine Laundry Service criticized us for missing some of the crucial points in
executing the project. Upon discussing the things, we found that they are quite reasonable. As
a result of this, we added some more points into our presentation. Within this, I can make
mention of forming a legal entity, registration for the taxes, opening bank account, obtaining
permits and licenses, business insurance and others.

discussions are conducted for assessing the approach of the students towards coming up with
unique project topics. I feel this idea is impressive, as it affects the thought process of the
students. However, non-compliance with the provided template added ambiguity to the
rationale behind execution of the project. As the objectives are not specific, measurability is
also missing in the feedback. This simultaneously necessitated the need for more exploratory
research.
In comparison to this, reviewing the performance of the other team and giving them
feedback is an initiative towards assessing the self-performance. Rational and judgmental
capability in this regards is far more interesting than writing boring papers with more theory.
Maintaining the frequency in this context is apt for the development of the analytical skills.
Synthesizing these facts, we came to the conclusion that it adds hypothetical approach to the
objectives of the company. This approach aggravated the complexities towards deducing the
conclusion regarding the marketing plans of the company. In this, I recommend the use of
action plans, which would assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the resources and
capabilities towards accomplishing the targets. Apart from this, I also feel that evaluation is
missing, which is a challenge for students like us in terms of controlling the actions. Lack of
consciousness in this aspect is a threat in terms of achieving personal and professional
development.
