INTRODUCTION
The reflection is the procedure of proactively thinking regarding specific personal practices,
experiences of a specific approach. It about an act of directing the thoughts as to focus on subject
or experience. It helps in providing deep knowledge about particular subject involving past
experiences. It is considered as important skills which helps in developing of learning & skills in
field of personal and professional. The report will cover skill development by using the Gibbs
model.
Reflection
There are several skills which are developed by me with this there are some skills in which I
am lacking that I want to develop in future so that I can become effective and complete my task
in different areas. The different skill are as follows-
 Communication skill- It is the ability to communicate effectively with the others by
giving and receiving different kinds of information. Communication is considered as
important part which helps in meeting the goals. It provided me the opportunity to
develop my skills as it is required by me to communicate in better way with professor. It
requires the verbal and non-verbal communication which helps me in writing various
assessments.
 Numeracy skill- It is the skill of applying maths concepts in the area of life which
involves the understanding of numbers, solving number problems, measuring estimating
etc. To develop this skill is important for me as it provides me the knowledge and skills
about mathematics which I can use in personal and professional learning as it is about of
thinking and reasoning.
 ICT skill- It is about the use of digital technology by taking use of computer. It is the
ability which helps me in understanding and operating wide range of technology software
for attaining the task. I was lacking in this skills which I want to develop as it will help
me in organising the work load along with I will be capable to work with several software
in professional manner.
 Problem solving skill- It is the procedure of identifying the problem, developing
possible solution paths and taking appropriate course of action. This skill helps me in
understanding relationship and implement changes. I am lacking this skill which I want to

develop by gaining the understanding of situation. The improvement of this skill will help
me in making effective decision making.
 Team working skill- It is the skill which enables me to work with others as it helps in
maintaining the strong culture and communication with others. By having tem working it
will help in developing trust and strong relationship. I was good in this skill which helps
me in achieving my skills.
While studying the module I find some challenges for which I took online classes on BREO
and taken help from internet with concepts as to apprehend the conceptual knowledge. I have
taken use of Kolb’s reflective model which is considered as experimental learning that is based
on experience. It involves the four stages which helps in enhancing skills & knowledge.
 Concrete experience- It is the first stage which helps in reflecting systematically to learn
something new along with existing skills is improve. At this stage, earlier I was not
familiar with the concepts which made me lectures so confusing and challenging as it was
totally new concept and module for me. It created problem in developing the skills and
knowledge which is experienced by me.
 Reflective observation- It helps in making the links between the current situation and
prior experience skills and knowledge. The emphasis is put on the feelings. To develop
the skills and knowledge I started reading books & journals regarding the topics in order
to enhance my knowledge by study lectures on BREO. Through this I was able to
develop several skills in which I am lacking such as ICT skills, problem solving. With
this by having the better communication & team working skill help me in completing the
work.
 Abstract conceptualisation- In this stage the focus is put on analysis & explanation for
getting the better understanding and further ideas. After learning stage I was able to
develop my concepts and skills which I can use in future. The development of ICT skills
helps me in working on several software so that information can be stored and privacy67
can be maintain. The MS office skills were progressed as I have learned to write business
reports. The improvement in the problem solving skill helped me in doing things in better
way as it is considered vital skill for professional & personal life.
 Active experimentation- It is the last stage of model in which analysis is translated into
planning and action. This involves the identification of outcomes and success. To develop

an effective communication system, I have performed several operations in team. To
improve the skills more action plan is prepared.
