REFLECTION ON LEARNING
Introduction
Business refers to the economic activity that is related to the regular production of the
goods and the services that can satisfy the human wants. The main objective of a business is
to earn the profit and acquire the wealth that aids it in its survival. Self-reflection refers to
process of the meditation which revolves around the character, motives along with the action
of an individual. This essay reflects on the course Master of Information System and the past
experiences that I have in relation to this course. This essay discusses how I manage the
studies so that it can be brought to the successful conclusion. This essay elucidates on how I
would apply the studies in the later life.
Discussion
I have chosen the course Master of Business Information System so that it can help
me in the area of the analysis of the data which have emerged to become an important aspect
of the business operations (Torrens.edu.au., 2020). In my view, this course will help me to
take the interdisciplinary approach that would imbibe within me the real-world skills. It can
aid in the development of the cognitive along with the technical skills that can help me in
operating as the Business Analyst in the future within global context. I think that this course
will help me in becoming information technology specialist that can help my business in
taking the vital decisions. The modern management theory talks about the fact that the
modern organizations should have the capability of navigating through the constant change
along with the exponential complexities (Luo & Peng, 2017, p. 1034). The management can
be stated to be interrelated component in a company and the program of the information
system can aid in the efficient running of a business.
I have earlier done the Bachelor of Business Information System that have helped me
in the interpretation of the information that can solve the problems in the workplace. My

previous experience have helped me in the determination of the ICT solutions that can aid me
in working on the technical areas in the workplace. It have helped me in improving the skills
and the knowledge that have helped me in analysing the business functions. It have helped
me in gaining understanding regarding the business environment along with the economic
principles that can come to be of use in the program of the Master of Business Information
System (Dusseldorp, Koolen & Cornelius, 2018, p. 94).
Driscoll model of the reflection helps in the area of description, analysis and in the
action planning in relation to an incident. The previous course of Bachelor of Information
System have helped in laying down the foundation that have aided me in the development of
the business acumen. It have taught me how to implement the strategic process that have
come of use while doing the program of the Master of Information System. It have helped me
in gaining the project management skills that have helped me in leading the complex teams in
the Master of Information System course (Encio, Refozar & Laguador, 2018, p. 43). The
bachelor course have taught me about the basic aspects of the database design along with the
enterprise information management that have helped me in approaching the organisational
problems in the right manner.
On the basis of the Driscoll model, it can be stated that I have taken recourse to the
suitable strategies that have helped me in ensuring that the required outcomes of the course
have been met. The Driscoll model throws light on the involvement of the individuals who
can help an individual in achieving the objectives of a plan. I have taken the help of the
mentors of Torrens University that have helped in enhancing my confidence for achieving the
higher goals. It have enabled me in taking the risks that have helped me in gaining immense
amount of experience in my field (Franken et al., 2018, p. 34). It have helped me in gaining
the psychosocial support during times of the need that have helped me in the pursuing of the
career goals.

There are certain activities that can be carried out by me that can help me in the area
of the management of the studies. I have chosen Information Security and Assurance as the
elective subject that have helped in broadening the horizon of my knowledge. It have helped
me in understanding about the information security issues that can occur in the workplace
that can greatly help me in my professional domain (Luo & Peng, 2017, p. 95). I have also
undertaken the online certification program in Analytics that have helped me in gathering a
great deal of the knowledge along with the skills in relation to my professional domain.
I would apply the learning that I am acquiring during the course of Master of
Information System program in my profession that can help me in becoming successful in my
career. The studies can prove to be of great value for me as it can help me in the management
of the installed systems along with the infrastructure that can aid in the functioning of the
organization. It can aid me in the participation in designing of the information along with the
operational support system that can help me in handling my job responsibilities in the better
manner. It can help me in fulfilling my responsibilities as the systems analyst who is
instrumental for the creation and the distribution of the data in the workplace.
I would like to set certain goals that can help me in getting the motivation in relation
to this course. I would like to get the Grade A in my results that would show that I have been
able to develop the business acumen that can help me in furthering my goals in my
profession. I would like to gather the thorough knowledge about the information technology
that can aid in the process of my professional development.
Conclusion
The educational program of the Master of Business Information system have been
chosen by me so that I can gather knowledge about the data analysis that can aid in the
operations of a business. Bachelor of Business Information System have been done by me
