REFLECTION PAPER
The 1st week of this class, I had a mix of excitement, stress and emotions. The topics that
we covered every week in this unit have given me the opportunity to learn different things,
thereby increasing my knowledge in numerous areas. When I began this course, my main aim
was to gain business skills, but now i also have an interest in learning new things. In this class, I
learned that business project management is the course regarding how to run projects. As a class,
we learn about various management tools as well as attempt to apply them to our projects
(Johnson and Schaltegger 2016).
Risk management process was a great topic in this course; this topic has given me the
opportunity to learn the importance of the risk management process to any organization. Some of
the main components of the risk management process that we discussed include quantitative risk
analysis, qualitative risk analysis, risk identification, risk response planning, as well as risk
monitoring and control (Giannakis and Papadopoulos 2016). From this unit, we learned that the
risk management process helps to bring about an improved level of quality in production and
service delivery. First of all, it remains not easy to comprehend some crucial things until you
undergo it. Risk management process plus other vital topics that we covered such as
entrepreneurship are such important things that you have to understand before starting any type
of business (Aghapour, Marthandan, Fie and Zailani 2017). Indeed, the understanding of
business remains not an easy task. I acquired such a great experience of operating a business as
well as gaining knowledge via this course.
Most of the topics that we covered were indeed testing ground to attempt all principles of
management we learnt in a different module. This course gave me a suitable approach to
business. Most of the subjects are mainly practical. It gave me the courage of trying different

things. Also, the classroom was more critical in gaining knowledge. This course indeed made
me realized some of the significant changes that I have made in my life. The amount of things I
have learned from this class remains immense. Sharing the classroom with other creative
economy learners was the best and advantage of my learning in class. It was exciting to see
learners creating new innovative products. Our classroom became a platform where we shared
numerous businesses ideas. So, this offered the opportunity of learning as a group from other
students.
Above all, the most important thing that I gained from this class is personality
development. This class helped me to improve my communication skills and confidence. The
opportunity to meet various individuals develops one’s behavior and character. Indeed, business
always remains born on ideas. As a learner, I was mainly interested in knowing some of the
business approaches as well as the functional benefit of businesses. I am extremely glad that I
had an opportunity of meeting engaged tutor teaching this class since the teacher really made the
material fun and this made most of us to get interested in Business project management.
