Reflection of Worldview on Christianity and Sports
Religious philosophy has, for quite a long time, been considered "the Queen of the
Sciences" in the college. The growing field of instruction, a relative newborn to scholars, has
battled for a spot at the table as a stepchild competing for authenticity among other progressively
regarded areas, for example, reasoning, history, and literature that had themselves recently
existed only to help the sovereign. Given that the Apostle Paul discloses to us that "real exercise
profits little," in contrast with religious philosophy, physical training is the progression of
children body immunity. Along these lines, as it concerns the foundation, it may be said that the
game is the progression child's second cousin's mongrel dog. Through Christian life, I have
learned many things related to sports events. Nowadays is not like before when sports and
Christianity were two different things. The Christian life is accepting the fact that society needs
practices inform of sports. Many of the Christian churches have incorporated the sports events
within their service programs. To mention some but a few, I was brought up in a Christianity life
and my sports skills were influenced by the Christianity programs. My life was all about the
Christian perspective.
Christianity nowadays has changed not like before when everything about Christianity
was about worshipping and sorts. Today is used as a school of knowledge where various skills
are offered in different sectors. I have learned a lot from Christianity life. My sports activities
and skills were contributed by my Christianity life. The modern churches even have sports
events and competitions. I have developed a lot of my interests in sports due to the influence of
Christianity life. In churches, we are taught how to come together and have unity. This can be
well experienced when people converge for sports events or such. It all calls for unity as taught
in the church. Professionally, Christianity has played a big role in developing my interests in

sports. I have realized that most of the churches have sponsored and supported a lot of sports
activities and this has motivated me much to venture into sports activities. The philosophy and
situation throughout the entire existence of the college are contended to have worked to confine
it from the use in the institute and contemporary life, prevailing in truly minimizing the
sovereign (Zahl, 2019). If this is valid, at that point, tending to this disengagement, regardless of
whether it is genuine, it is fundamental for both philosophy and culture and requires steady
caution and decisive core interest. Accentuation on the crossing point of religious philosophy and
religion has been a consistent imperative. In our way of life, no aspect of nexus is in more
noteworthy need of assessment and sound instructing than that of the relationship of philosophy
and sports the sovereign and the second cousin's mongrel dog (Phinnemore, 2018).
Sport is facing exceptionally well in contemporary American culture; to such an extent,
that game has caught the spirit of an inexorably shallow culture that is no longer tied down in
any pre-present day beliefs (Watson & Kumar, 2017). It flourishes as at no other time in a
culture driven by thoughtless commercialization and over the top quest for diversion, encouraged
by universal, regularly unchallenged digital passages, and in broadened youthfulness bolstered
by a bounty of relaxation time, profoundly immersed with the love of false legends and vacuous
symbols (Jarvie& Maguire, 2002). Artists, performers, and competitors are decreased to market
items that are copied by a large number of Americans. Christians have never been feeling the
squeeze to submit to the extraordinary draw of diversion, delight, acclaim, notoriety, and big-
name that penetrates the air that we relax.
However, there are numerous ups and downs in present-day western culture for the job of
contending to the Christian church (Sullivan, 2019). Film and TV, popularized music, both
common and Christian, misuse and advancement of a wide range of extramarital perversion,

liquor, and drug abuse, political and philosophical zeal, submersion in virtual universes, and a
wide range of popular viral trends which draw in followers at random speed (Aggerholm, 2016).
Most importantly, a decent case could be made for any of these things as an essential danger to
the Christian church (Jenkins, 2014). Be that as it may, the entirety of different contenders is
somewhat subsumed inside the advancing church of sport. Game presently overwhelms current
culture and takes steps to displace the zealous church with its ground-breaking offer to meet the
most profound needs of individuals.
No territory of American culture affects the regular daily existences of Americans than
sport. Maybe most fundamentally, the game conveys on its powerful yet unfortunately fleeting
guarantee to satisfy age-old human requirements for significance, acknowledgment, having a
place, and network (Carlsson&Hedenborg, 2018). There are sure ethics in sports, for example,
reality, solid delineations of the compensations of industriousness, challenging work, constancy,
and the quest for greatness and competition give sound physical action and human association.
Tragically, these excellences are frequently ignored among zealous Christians. The creator isn't
proposing that game ought to be wiped out from the lives of Christians or social life (Morgan,
2018). Nonetheless, the sport holds among Christian individuals, and the Christian church is
sapping assets and imperativeness from us, and even undermines the responsibility of numerous
to Christ.
The Christian's demeanor toward and cooperation in sport must be continually observed,
assessed, and the Christian should consistently be set up to battle for a balance that praises God
in his life. There are no straightforward responses to the issues made by the universal love of the
game (Dik, 2020). Yet, the genuine possibility that, for some, confidence in-game will supplant
Christian faith and qualities must be recognized (Austin, 2018). Rescue of the positive

estimations of the game from the incredible current of the present mainstream society is no little
accomplishment. Much like attempting to safeguard a little youngster from a whirling, seething,
overwhelmed waterway, saving what is acceptable about sport conveys with it critical risks for
the individuals who endeavor to pull the mentioned qualities from the well-known ebb and flow
(Zhang, Hong & Huang, 2017).
It is trusted that as opposed to carelessly advancing the now-pervasive, cover
endorsement of any inclusion in sport, Christian pioneers will take up the reason, starting with
their very own astute thought contribution in the game just as the association of others for whom
they are mindful (Gibbons, 2017). While "substantial exercise profiteth little," Faithfulness is
beneficial for all things, having a guarantee of the existence that presently is and of that which is
to come."
Sports on the national level are sometimes accompanied by Christianity. Athletes that
take athletics as their career jobs act as role models for young people. Some of these athletes
follow Christianity and live the Christian way of life. The young ones who look up to them as
role models tend to act the same. They go to church every Sabbath day because their icons go to
church too. It is important for those athletes who are Christians to act in a good way. Some even
hold press talks to explain their Christianity beliefs to their fans. In my childhood, I looked up to
football players as my idols. I copied almost everything they did. I took their way of life as the
best life I would want. I wore similar types of clothes as they did the same types of sneakers and
even socks.
Most of the people in the world of sports are, however non-believers. They have their
faith. It is not up to the believers to judge the non-believers or their ways of life as everyone is

entitled to his or her faith and beliefs. As Christian, we should act kindly to other people so that
those who follow us might be generous to other people too. We also see some sports team
gathering to pray before the start of the game and after. This proves that religion and sports can
work together and lead to a good life. We also see some athletes in sports making religious signs
such as kneeling and facing up once they score a goal. This shows that the athlete is either a
Christian or a Muslim. This encourages the fans who are watching them that it is possible to
practice Christianity and still be good at sports and other social life
In conclusion, there are some significant issues with the sport possessions in our way of
life with the apparent implicit endorsement of the zealous church. Christian
managemnt team must recognize that sports have become the new sedative of the individuals and
the new American universal religion. The sports and church may sound two different things but
they interact. The church is meant for the unity of people and through sports; people get united
and celebrate together. We should get on track to bring the standards of the sacred text to hold up
under on this issue, asking devotees to live astute and bold lives, guided by Biblical truth also,
and intentionally abducting each idea to the dutifulness of Jesus Christ.
