INTRODUCTION
Reflection is defined as a process in which individual reflect upon their experience with
the help of self-reflection (Yan, 2020). In this they evaluate their experience and make identify
essential aspects that they require to improve in future. It is one of the most important aspect that
allows an individual enhance their future growth opportunities by determining the ways to
improve mistakes. Present report is divided into three segment in which segment one discuss
about reflection of performance in group presentation. While 2 task of report include
development of areas that are require to make for further improvement. Lastly, an action plan is
being included in this report.
Reflection
Reflection is defined as a process in which an individuals reflects upon their learning
experience in which they identified what they have learned, what went well and other essential
aspects (Mohamed, 2020). Present report include reflection upon my performance in the module
and group presentation. Further it has been identified that with the help of reflection an
individual can take necessary steps to perform better next time. With the assistance of reflecting
my performance in group presentation, I can become a better practitioner. By evaluating my
performance in group this has been identified by me that there were certain number of challenges
and experiences I faced. Group presentation encourage me towards accomplishing my career
objective in effective way. This has been determined by me that our group meeting were
extremely productive and each and every member fulfil filled their designated tasks in efficient
manner. My role in group was to allocate information in order to complete group goals as well
as objectives with great efficiency. I performed my allocated roles and responsibilities with great
zeal as I acquired all the necessary and essential informations from various authorized sources.
Further it has been evaluated by me that according to my opinion I efficiently performed by roles
as I restricted myself only to those details that were important for our group presentation. In
addition to this, my public speaking skill improved a lot during my performance in group
presentation that also maximised my confidence level at great extent. My role in group
presentation went well as I have good ability to work with other because of my coordination and
cooperation skill. However, the role that has been assigned to requires a lot brainstorming upon
various topics. It has been identified by me that group presentation allows me to undertake

advantage of every member individual strengths while performing roles and responsibilities as a
team (Wheelan, Åkerlund and Jacobsson, 2020). According to me my tangible contribution in
group presentation went well as I thoughtfully and carefully evaluated by assigned role.
Objectives of our group presentation were performed with great effectiveness as all the members
performed their roles with collaboration that helps in meeting group presentation expectations in
effective manner.
However, this has been determined by me that I have face some challenges or issues that created
difficulties in front of me to fulfil my assigned role expectations. I have observed that due to my
weak time management skill I face number of obstacles in investing required time in researching
information from different sources.
In addition to this, as per my view most important thing that went well was that group
presentation allowed me to learn the way in which conflict can be managed in effective manner.
This is an essential aspect that will not only help to deal professionally but also facilitate me to
overcome my personal issues. By learning this aspect I can can gain future benefits in number of
ways. Further it has been determined that the thing that did not went well was that there were
many communication breakdown that increases anxiety among members. Thus, this indicates
that communication is most important element that requires improvement. The new information
that has been presented is related to effective delegation of roles as responsibilities to each and
every individual as per according to their knowledge of interest. This information can be further
use in professional level and future group presentations that will significantly increase
effectiveness of end outcomes (Doorley and Garcia, 2020). Most interesting thing according to
me in the group presentation was, gathering of information on different topic and ideas from
various sources and later identified best suitable one as to fulfil group objectives with great
efficiency. Overall, according to my review I am satisfied with my contribution as end results of
presentation was went well, I enjoyed my work related to research and assembling of essential
information. It also allowed to increase my have proper understanding of effective
communication skills and team effectiveness that are applicable to professional context. By
completing this project it has been evaluated by me the way in which an effective presentation
can be given. In addition to this, I also learned the manner in which informations can be
collected by self and presented as to fulfil presentation objectives in effective manner. Further it
has been evaluated that with the help of reflecting upon my performance in group presentation I

can enhance my future performance and communication skill in effective manner. In addition to
this it has been determined that, during preparing and delivering presentation I effectively
increased by overall confidence level. Overall I had positive experience while working of this
group presentation that will proves to be beneficial for me in many ways in my future
opportunities (Okeke, 2020). All the experience that I have gained while doing this presentation
will help me in both academic and professional way.
Academic and professional areas that need to be developed further
As already acknowledged that I prepared a presentation within a group on the topic
“Preparing for Success”. Hereby, the slides upon which I had to work contained information
about 'Effective Communication Skills applicable to Professional Context' and 'Work Effectively
in Group'. The whole experience of collecting information for the presentation and preparing it
provided assistance to me in carrying out development of my overall personality (Gallardo,
2020). In this relation, I have identified on the basis of performance given by me in context of
the group presentation, that I developed several skills during the task. These skills have been
identified to be time management, analytical skills, observation skills, communication and
critical thinking skills. Now, I have analysed that whereby undergoing the group presentation
enabled me to leverage, maintain and develop some of my skills, there were also certain skills
that acted as shortcomings for me. These skills acted as hurdles for me during the group task of
preparing the presentation on a given subject in pre defined course of time.
It has been identified that it is extremely important for each and every individual to duly
identify the gaps underlying within their skill set as well as knowledge base. Post the
identification of gaps within the skill set, competencies and knowledge, the person then is
required to undertake stringent measures through which the gaps prevailing within the skill set
can be fulfilled in an effective manner. In this relation, I have inferred on the basis of my
performance in the group presentation that there were mainly 2 skills that were lacking within
my personality (Leopold and Smith, 2020). These skills were communication and time
management, My time management skills were weak due to which there emerged several
instances whereby the coordination as well as cooperation of mine with the members of the
group presentation was lacking. This acted as a key hurdle in the success of the task and further
hindered me from collaborating well with the other team members. Apart from this, it is
identified that my communication skills were also ineffective. This further created issues such as

communication gap from my side in the team. The same happened because I am introvert person
who takes time to open to new people and thus I was hesitating while conversing with the
members of my group regarding the tasks allotted to us in context of group presentation. There is
a scope for improving my communication skills so that I can interact with the individuals in a
better manner in academic as well as professional context in future course of time. Besides this,
drawing upon the group presentation allowed me to acknowledge that there is a scope of
improvement in my time management. This skill is important in academic and professional
context as it enables the completion of results in given framework of time and in effective
manner as per the requirement.
Action Plan
Action plan is defined as a checklist for the steps that are required to be undertaken as to
fulfil goals and laid down objectives in effective manner. This part of task involves discussions
on action plan which is being devised to overcome ineffective time management and
communication skill. With the help of this action plan future improvement can be seen in number
of ways through which both of these skills can be maximised.
Step 1: Goal
Improvement in time management and communication skill. Main motive behind increase
effectiveness of time management skill is to organize activities in a systematic manner as to
complete given task in time effective manner. While on the other hand, by increasing
communication skill effectiveness proper presentation of views and ideas can be assured.
Step 2:- Time Period
In order to achieve this target time period is being decided, in which time management
skills will be accomplished in 3 months while for the communication skill expected duration of 4
months has been underlined.
Step 3:- Required Resources
Different types of sources has been evaluated or identified through which these laid down
goals can be accomplished in effective manner. If it is talked about time management, measures
like delegation of task according to their priority is underlined. While on the other hand, for
communication skill online classes, reading of newspaper, asking for regular feedbacks from
subordinates and peers will be undertaken.

In order to fulfil all the activities and desired objectives in effective manner “To Do list”
are going to be developed in which main focus on essentials will be made. In addition to this
realistic deadline will be underlined through which all the activities can be achieved under
proper time frame.
As per according to the above mentioned analysis it has been identified that, action plan
proves to be an effective measure through which laid down objectives can be fulfilled in given
time line (Menekse, Anwar and Akdemir, 2020). As there are some certain skills namely time
management and communication that I lacks in and requires development for future growth.
Thus with the help of this action plan I can assure fulfilment of my goal in effective manner. In
addition to this, in order to ensure my overall success I will challenge myself and meet deadline
by rewarding self to meet task requirements in given time frame.
CONCLUSION
As per according to above mentioned report it has been concluded that, reflection plays
crucial role through which an individual can effectively identify about their past accomplishment
and performance. With the help of this they can further identify those skills that requires
development for future growth. In addition to this, it has been underlined that with the help of
self-reflection individual can evaluate the mistakes that has been done by them. With the
assistance of reflective practice individual can maximise their self awareness towards different
skills that are required to be developed by them. In addition to this, it also helps in developing
creative thinking skills that also helps a person to enhance their future growth and development.
