Reflection on the ethical and legal care.
I have been treating a young women who tends to have a low speed MVA with the abdominal
pain and rigidity. I have examined that, the women is 32 weeks pregnant and upon assessing
there is an internal bleeding. Further, the patient refuses to take any blood products. I have also
examined that, the patient tends to have wide set of respiratory disorders and tends to refuse
treatment (Tunlind, Granström & Engström, (2015)). The patient is involved within the criminal
set of activities. I have examined that, the patient cannot refuse the degree of care. I would focus
on effectively using the appropriate set of communication skills in order to convince the patient
to improve the best results and outcomes. It is the key relevant duty of the health care
practitioner to examine the key potential risk and make people understand what benefits it has on
the life of the person. I believe that, a good nursing care is considered to be of utmost
importance and it helps in effectively providing the quality care services by the patient. A good
nursing care mainly comprise of communication skills, problem solving skills, commitment,
attention to detail, caring, self- awareness, respect, etc. Within the medical field, the client can
refuse the level of medical care until and unless they understand their medical situation and
outcomes (Emsfors, Christensson, & Elgán, (2017)). As per the legal aspects, the nurses has to
always provide good nursing care practice for the safe handling of the patient.
