REFLECTION
The term Reflection can be defined as an analytical and critically effective thought
that is based on the behavior of the individual person so as to obtain a gain and
more knowledge in a subject or a particular item (Gillett et al., 2009). The main
objective is to assess and describe the emotions that are personal in nature along
with the experiences and state them with the help of the Gibbs Reflective Cycle
(1988) in this Reflective journal which has been assessed post to a presentation of a
group project within the university campus. For this purpose, this journal will also
comprise of the research to demonstrate a better knowledge of the mistakes that
includes the management of the team and private problems that have been
accumulated throughout the lecture and presentation and a declaration about how to
enhance my performance efficiency in the future.
The first course that we encountered in the second semester was the topic of the
presentation. Course that has been followed on the first day routine was, the teacher
who was assigned for our class demonstrated and launched the guide book and also
demonstrated the required guidelines that were essential to be followed for the
presentation. After that the tutor requested the students to form separate groups and
then select an organization or company along with a specific topic that has to be
selected from the Business Essential Module. The tutor provided more information to
the students which demanded the students to record and present the presentation
that has been assigned within a length of not more than fifteen minutes. The
information created an impact on all the students of other classes and also including
me as the information caused a nervousness and fear within everyone. The fear was
caused due to the information that states that the students need to present their
presentation in front of the audience and the particular fear factor plays here of being
judged in front of and by a large number of audience. There was a high anxiety

playing within myself for presenting the project in front of a large number of
audiences. This happened because as a person I Had restricted familiarity with
presentation and language obstacles in delivering speech, hence creating anxiety on
the matter of presenting in front of a large number of audiences. According to the
researches of Sharma (2017), Fear of evaluation is adequate to cause impacts on
gthe body which also includes sweating, chest tightness causing breathing problems
and weakening knees that I encountered at the start.
For the next step, the assigned group selected the process of SWOT analysis on an
organization and chose Amazon as the organization. The familiarization of the topic
to all the members of the group helped in the progress of the discussion in a nice
pace. I was confident that I had prior work expertise with a few of the members of the
team throughout the very first class of the semester. Thereafter, primary debate
during the course that came next was about the preparations of the slides of the Ms
PowerPoint and PowerPoint templates options. The next step that was taken by the
team was the voting by every individual of the team, where all the members of the
team are free to vote to elect the favourable design that will be applied in the project
presentation. This not only improves the level of the motivation for the group but also
enhanced the encouragement of taking the final discussion without any argument.
As per the theories of the Gothelf and Seiden (2016), the first and most strong
instruments for enhancing cooperation are the agile retrospective method and the
associated exercise of establishing a team cohesion contract. Therefore this process
helped to take the decision on the part of the choosing of the communication based
platforms that will allow the team to perform more effectively. WhatsApp and
frequent meetings has been chosen as the medium of communication in our case.

Over the past two weeks prior to the actual and also the final lecture I was able to
exercise prior to the actual teacher and the classmates. The accomplishment of the
project that has been instructed to be performed in group faced scheduling problem
that existed in the next meetings and sessions. When the preparation takes place, I
noticed that I was having an issue regarding the timing with the part of the
presentation I was assigned for. This issue was needed to be resolved. According to
Laskowski (2001) problems cannot be solved by magical formulas, the only thing
that can help is the more and more practice in preparation which can easily resolve
and fix the issues in order to Attain the required objectives. Therefore, the first and
only option to dealing with the problem of timing needs to be much more practiced
and we continually apply our training sessions as a team so that we can perform
better. During the PowerPoint presentation, I seemed even more anxious because
while the remainder of both the shipping moment was limited. My mind went blank,
and then at some levels my output was not fluent. To prevent my pressure, I wanted
to pay more exposure to the teacher than with the crowd, and it continued to help me
to calm down and counteract this anxiety. Playing with the cue cards that I kept in my
hands also assisted me to decrease my anxiety as I generally wiggle my fingers
when I am under pressure. Segal et al. (2017) described that running hand on
something that gives calmness always reduces the anxiety and stress.
During the demonstration of the lecture, I acknowledged that my accomplishment
was never at the peak of other team members because I believed the audience
might not have been happy with my part of the lecture as they were confused. In the
future, I must try to gain a better understanding of reading by reading more
newspapers, signing up for additional English courses and taking part in some public

I also recognized because I lacked the capabilities of Microsoft Office. For
illustration, it would be helpful to have better understanding of PowerPoint to
maintain the public involved in the material without including sophisticated graphics,
graphs and charts. The recorded data would also assist enhance my college
outcomes and boost my scores. Eventually, reflecting on the moment and hard work
I applied for this lecture, I definitely learned a lot of helpful methods like how to utilize
PowerPoint and interact smarter with others. On the whole, this introduction was
indeed a great experience and will only be unforgettable to me for a long period of
time.
