Reflection on Interview and In-Seminar Assessment Centre Exercise

This assignment presents a reflection on two different assessment scenarios: a university interview and an in-seminar assessment centre exercise. In-Seminar Assessment Centre Exercise Practice
 Peer members were showing high degree of professionalism and collaboration in the
activity. They were giving prior attention to others ideas as well. The members were
treating each other with due respect and have also offered others a chance to share
their creative views.
 Their positive behaviour assisted in completing the activity in a friendly and smooth
manner. I have witnessed that by collaboration we have come to an appropriate
solution and depicted fine time management skill.
 However, I was little picky in task selection. I was waiting for my chance to share my
views and therefore I was not able to completely listen to other member’s opinion.
 I have perceived that specific members failed to understand the problem clearly in a
limited time. Moreover, not all members have provided real instances for the problem
solution. This states that they lack to deliver their full potential and knowledge in the
activity.
 I will lay high focus on improving my listening skills. It will allow me to perceive
other people’s ideas and thoughts fluently and clearly. It will allow me to easily
connect with other peer members. It will also contribute to my overall personality
development (Erozkan, 2013)
 For further improvement, I will seek for feedback of my respectable authorities. Their
reasonable feedback will permit me in taking corrective measures.
Interview at the University
 I was appeared for an interview (in a group of 4) at the university. I was asked random
interrogations. I have observed that every individual was taking active participation in
the activity. They were coming with possible and effective ideas for the problem
solution.
 As per observer’s assessment, I show adequate degree of professionalism.
Additionally, I possess fine knowledge about Star Criteria. I have displayed
satisfactory attitude as well.
 From personal observation, I have admitted that I am in a need for improvement. I
have assessed that I need to eradicate nervousness and improve my confidence level
to attain fine impression. In order to boost up my confidence, I will take active

participation in group activities as well as in debate. I will use criticism as a learning
experience. Developing self-confidence will directly benefit in removing nervousness
(Bridges, 2019).
 Additionally, I will lay attention towards advancing my communication skills as well.
I will increase interpersonal communication with my peer groups. It will improve my
communication skills as well our interpersonal relation. Additionally, I will opt for the
guidance of my teachers.
